It is a somewhat condensed version of the original rules with some clarification along for the ride.

This was posted in a thread on the Hero board. www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/90513-New-Product-Champions-Complete/page2Q: Will 6E1 and 6E2 remain in print? What about the current Champions genre book? For that matter, will Basic stay in print? A. Champions Complete is designed to replace 6E1, 6E2, Champions, and Basic in our product line. Though we will continue selling these products in digital form, through our website, and at conventions, we have no plans to reprint them at this time or to continue selling them through distribution. Q. How does this compare to 6th ed Champions? A. Champions Complete contains the core elements of 6th ed Champions, but doesn't focus *as much* on discussing the genre elements and techniques of successful superhero roleplaying games. Instead, it is a complete, stand-alone book for playing Champions using the 6th ed Hero System, priced at a level we hope won't provide a significant barrier to new players who want to try out Champions. I don't know now if I should be happy or sad that I just bought 6E1 and 6E2 on Monday. -Robert

Champions is a genre and source book it has character write ups, but it does not contain ANY RULES for play or generating PCs CC is the complete rules for 6th ed It just not 800+ pages of rules and examples that 6th ed Vol 1&2 are Hero System Basic did not have all the rules, it had enough to play a basic game

the big books have tons of examples and goes to an almost overboard presentation of the rules I will not be getting rid of my big books as there is plenty to ideas and rule explanations contained there in This was posted in a thread on the Hero board. www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/90513-New-Product-Champions-Complete/page2Q: Will 6E1 and 6E2 remain in print? 6e1 and 6e2 are MORE than worth the price of getting them. I don't actually recommend reading them straight through, rather using them to look up specific elements when you need them.
Cheers,

Thanks for the answers. Since I have yet to pick up the Basic rules you all have helped me decide it would be in my best interest to pick up Complete.

I very much want to get complete. Just fwiw I usually run Hero games from the basic book and use the other two books for expansion and refinement of particular rules.

So Benji when do you want to start I Characters done already that need a game to play in Precision :Telekinetic/limited Telepathy Martial Artist (and does not use Telekinesis or Telapathy powers) Swashbuckler type his cloak is a manifistation of his TK Wraith :Gravity based mutant Flying Brick likes playing the spooky Blip :Teleporting Martial Artist Much better than Nightcrawler and cuter too) Shield Maiden: Norse Demi goddess Sword and shield(total rip off of Thor and Capt America)
