OK, so my players like the idea of just one shots probably less than me. So they want an ongoing campaign with the one shots in reserve for when people can't make the regular game, so we are always gaming. ...they want me to run the one system I know enough that I can run the game without a rule book. I am returning to WEG Star Wars (the only true Star Wars RPG IMHO). Now, I have read and taken to heart some stuff Savage Daddy has said about stepping up his savage world game showing pictures of Scooby Doo. I want suggestions on how to step it up, so to speak. Some examples follow: - Read outs and Bureau of Ships and Services Information (basically license and registration) on a nook or ipad because IT'S A DAMN STAR WARS DATAPAD. No paper in Star Wars, they have Datapads, which look like our ipads anyway...
- A full miniature rendition of the ship (they will be smugglers). Full Color, preferably with 3d props and maybe walls.
- Background Music (hrm, maybe some stuff by John Williams)
- Character art with stats on the back like Savage Daddy had.
Any other suggestions?

I don't man, not to be a fantasy flight fan boy but their take on Star Wars looks pretty amazing!

Yeah, but I am not a noob. I've been running D6 Star Wars for 25 years.
I'm looking more for the type of ideas of that Savage Daddy did for his Scooby Doo game, not system recommendations.
(Though at some point I will check out the new Star Wars RPG...)

Go to home depot, buy some pipe, bottoms, switches and hot glue guns and have them make their own light sabers. I'm not 100% versed on d6 system, but i'd try and have their wild dice(I think I read it has them) match their saber/blaster beam color. Not really game mechanics, but I'd have liked it as a player

If you have a character sheet PDF, I can try to strip out the background for you and put in something for art. I'd need either a description of what kind of images you'd want in the background or the pictures you'd like themselves, and the stuff you want on the character sheets.
Otherwise, you can get GIMP which is free photoshop and do it in there, or if you want to pirate photoshop (or buy it for a whole pile of cash), do it there. You could also do ship images that way if you like, but it would probably take a bit longer and more work. If you're hell-bent on 3D models, I'd suggest either pink foam insulation sheets and a hot wire cutter or those neat paper models people make.

See if you can make an opening crawl for the game. Nothing sets the mood for Star Wars like hearing the music and seeing text over the starfield. I know there are instructions around the net on how to make your own crawls.

There was one time my one friend for a game ran as his achtype "Sulustian Former Reality Show Contestant." It became Survivor:Tattooine according to the players and they loved the concept so much I let it go. I began every game playing the Star Wars Music. Well, when they went to Tattooine, I started the music and acted surprised when it played the Survivor Theme instead...

Star wars music with out being exactly the movie scores. Knights of the Old Republic is a sweet soundtrack. I wish it was on itunes... The maps are awesome. They will be good for certain event sin game. However, I have a little picture to show the beginning of what I want out of their home ship... plus.google.com/u/0/photos/114223208880120109996/albums/posts/5817180575219598594?hl=en
