I'm a big fan of Hero Lab in general and have been MORE than pleased with their support and their responsiveness to ideas from the user community. If it's something that people want they will most likely add it if they can. I will probably be throwing money at this as well. JiB

I've chipped in for $35. I really need a better way to organize my campaigns, and everything I see about Realm Works - and Hero Lab in general - is good.

I missed out on backing this project and am eagerly awaiting the September release. Did any of you guys that backed get to do Beta testing? Is the software as useful as it appears to be?

I was in the beta for a while before the Kickstarter began. I'm sure it's fairly different now, but even the very early builds were well done. For smaller campaigns, I don't know if I'd use it, but I'm also lazy. If you've got a big world that you reuse or are planning a long running game, this could make info management much easier.

For those not following it, this product came out to the public this weekend. Anyone else grab their copy yet?

I was holding off to hear what others thought of it -- specifically, I *think* I can already do everything I need to do, GM-wise, with OneNote and a wiki, so I'm curious if there's anything RealmWorks does well that they can't.
Does look smooth though. Fantasy Grounds II is like that for me too, kind of a 'luxury' item -- might get it someday, but I think I can already do what it does.

I'm a little miffed at Lone Wolf these days, so I don't know if I'll be picking it up. It looks nifty, I'll grant...

I'm pretty annoyed that it took so long for them to release it. Now I can't get time to use it between being swamped at work, in the middle of trying to move, and my girlfriend being fully engrossed in senior projects and studying.
I've spent MAYBE 30 minutes using it. So far, I can see how helpful it will be, but it is useless to me until I get a good solid few hours to load information in.
Was just wondering if anyone here had come up with any "best practices" besides those shown in their videos.

Has anyone else tried to use this? I'm currently wondering if this was just a scam. I paid the $50 on the weekend to get this, but they never sent me a confirmation email or anything. When I try to use the program it says I need an activation code (which I never received). I've emailed the support address at this Wolflair outfit a couple of times now and received no response. Meanwhile, I'm out $50 with nothing at all to show for it.
Anyone else having a similar experience?

I just re-read heavymetaljess post. So you have actually been able to get a working piece of software out of them?

I just re-read heavymetaljess post. So you have actually been able to get a working piece of software out of them? Yes, but it wasn't the smoothest process. First, I found where to download the software and got stuck when trying to find where to pay for my activation code. After paying, I received my code right away, but Gmail sent it to my spam folder. So I had to pull it out of there so I could get my software going. Hopefully, customer service will get back to you quickly.

Yeah, they're taking forever to release everything these days, and it's getting on my nerves. It's been nearly a year since SR5 came out, and they had the files for it before it was released.... And there still isn't a Hero Lab file for it.
And they've admitted that they didn't have to rebuild it from the ground up, so....

After the third email where I threatened to reverse the charges on my credit card, I got an email back from them. They sent me my activation code, but I can't create a login on the program because I'm not getting sent the account activation email. They said to check my spam folder, but I did, and it's no-where to be seen.
Now they tell me they've got people working on it. It seems like a pretty big fail that their outgoing email doesn't even work. Doesn't give me a lot of faith that this program is going to be very stable. But then I wouldn't know, as I still can't run it. 5 days after handing over money for it.

OK, finally got it running after multiple emails with the support team.
Turns out that there was no reason to buy it, as whole reason I got this was to check out the 'Player View' feature. (This is my own fault for not reading the page properly). That feature is not available yet! In fact, none of the cloud service features are available, other than backing up your content.
Makes you wonder why they bothered releasing it.
