Oh my God that sounds like so much fun! I might steal that sort of idea for a future character. I'd love to hear more about how it turns out in the game.

I really enjoy playing Sorcs or Oracles who use the Power Words adaptation for spells. I made up words/sayings for each and had them on note cards that I think used to construct my spells as needed because I was a spont caster.

In my opinion making spells less vanilla and more interesting in regards to verbal, somatic, and material components is really just "skinning".
The last time I played 3.5e, which I equate with Pathfinder, I played a cleric and a Bard.
One example of a way that I made things more interesting for the cleric, who was a cleric of Olidamara (who is Dyonycian in nature), Was to decide what prayers and invocations to that specific deity would be like. For example when I cast "Turn Undead" instead of saying "I cast turn undead." I would yell "BITCH BE COOL!"

I had a GM once who was big on small bonuses for refraining from game terms when casting spells as an equivalent for the bonus he gave for descriptive combat. It worked pretty nicely. This is an idea of which I am very fond and have used extensively. More descriptive always equals better bonuses. JiB
