Well, the con was great! Thanks again for Dimitri and Jib both running awesome games. My s/o had a load of fun, and really got to see what my "little hobby" is about. Memorable moments from both include "The floating head of Ned Stark", "I want to use a plot point, to take a present out from my bag of random things", and "Wait, where is the little girl?!"

Kewl I am very glad you both had fun. You guys were great. I had a great con which was totally made for me by two things. First the awesome players that made both of my little games incredible, and the Fiasco game Sunday night with Gina, Mook, Rob and Jasmine. It was like the role playing version of Cards Against Humanity (so totally broken). JiB

I spent much of the con playing Mouse Guard with my boy, as those were almost the only RPGs listed as "Family" (Cat was as well, but I had a time conflict in that slot). Not that many GMs are willing to run games for young kids, I imagine. However, two of the three MG games had three kids and three adults, which worked very well.
Standouts for me were first of all JiB's Gods of Our Fathers game, which had the most original game concept I've played for a long time and a lot of laughter (really, we're laughing with you--well, no, I'm just lying :-) ), and second Spirit of Cimmeria because I found Fate Accelerated a very interesting system to play. The best introduction to a system is with a GM who loves it and can really make it tick as intended. I also got to play Paranoia for the first time, but I hadn't had enough coffee and wasn't as alert as I should have been (I still managed to trust no one, but somehow we weren't issued laser barrels so I only obeyed one of the three cardinal rules).
I really should just get a room at the con sometime, it was tiring.

YES! Had an awesome time as well. Haven't had a chance to post any post-con wrap ups, but that's 'cause I'm getting ready for a game this Saturday. But I didn't have a single bad game, and particularly enjoyed JiB's Zombie romp (and the spontaneous Fiasco, but not sure if that "counts" ) In the weeks and months before a con, I'm always kind of ambivalent and sometimes don't make the time to prep something to run...and every time I do that, when I'm actually *at* the con I regret it and wish I was running something. So - I'm gonna try hard to run at least something at Gateway (I have four games in mind -- that seems a bit...ambitious).

I have tried running 4 games at a con and it was a disaster. My number is 2 though I might try to do 3 if one of them was a lower prep game like Dungeon World or something like that. JiB

I sincerely hope you consider running a game for Jackercon...think of it as a place to playtest a September con game!

Hehehe, that's a good idea D.T. -- though so far I haven't done more than stuck a toe into the Hangouts to see whatup. :: strokes non-existent beard menacingly :: Interesting...

Also to chime in: great time at the con. I played up to the Catan semi-qualifiers, but as far as RPGs, did a bunch of new systems: Fudge, Fate, Cat, Atomic Robo. All games were good fun. Even played in a pathfinder version of Tomb of Horrors (which is the most retarded sadistic module created, but we had some good fun playing)...
See ya at the next one.
