The problem this has now left me with is the original problem again, If the original Player who had the Clue has just forgotten about it, as opposed to intentionally ignoring it or dismissing it as irrelevant, then do I remind him of it or just let it play out? In case case the consequence of not following up is that Earth Doesn't get a powerful ally which they will need because the PC have now alerted the Wraith to the location of Earth. You let it play out. The player has made their choices, the gm has made their choices. I've spent a LOT of time thinking on this topic over the last few months and across several topics but what it comes down to is this, I, the gm, do NOT have the right to deny the player their narrative control, nor do I have the right to dictate the outcome of the game. The only things I can dictate is where the game starts and what the npc's do in response to their own desires and the actions of the player characters. Dice like bullets do not lie. JiB

Is there any reason his character would think on it? I don't know anything about SGU so I was unable to piece together what the clue actually meant. If it's something that his character might think on, come up with some ideas about, and piece together something, show him another piece of the puzzle and give him a skill check to indicate that it may be important. When he succeeds give him a bit more and see if he runs with it. If he doesn't then let it play out. If he fails, let it play out. Just because the player missed it, doesn't mean the character should miss it. Always give the character a chance to be better than the player, because we aren't heroes, but the people we play are supposed to be.

To that one PC it's just an odd occurrence that happens to be in his field of study, to other PCs it has more meaning (the PC to which it probably means the most is now dead) the Player didn't share the Information, my concern is they didn't share it because the Player forgot about it.
