Essential Edition is confusing me. I think I get it but I want to bounce it off someone else who knows the system.
How many dice do I roll when my minions use suppressing fire?
The description of suppressing fire (page 71) says that instead of your normal dice pool, suppressing fire uses a dice pool of 2d plus your weapon's Spray rating. (Then you do the number-comparison thing with your matches and you potential targets' rolls.)
The description of minions (page 75) says, during the Roll phase, minions roll dice equal to the number of minions in the group, up to 10d. It also says on page 77 that minions with guns always use suppressing fire, and says on page 76 that minions weapons are only described in terms of doing Shock, Killing, or Shock and Killing - no fancy extra qualities for their weapons.
So, when a group of minions uses suppressing fire, do they roll their big ol' pool of dice (1d to 10d based on current number of minions), or do they roll 2d + what would be the Spray dice for their equipped weapons? I think it is the former, but it's never explicitly stated anywhere I can find it.
Thanks in advance!

I'm inclined to agree with your evaluation.
