I have been reading the FATE Core book. Did a character creation figured out stunts, and how they are made/done. But Extras confuse me.
Extras can be anything. NPC, weapon, gadget... but how do you acquire them? I know its said that you can use skill points to get extras but how do i make that extra and do i attach aspect to it and if i do how many? As many as skill points used, and can a GM give out extras for free during game without having player spend points on it?

They actually have a tone of examples of Extras in the back of the book. Basically all they Extras do is act as rule variations. They can be as simple or as complicated as you want to make them. And depending on the game a character may start with extras or the GM may add some in later on.
For instance they give an example of magic where a player has an Aspect related to magical training allowing them to use their Lore skill to cast spells. The cost of the extra is the fact that an aspect slot is being taken up by the extra. Depending on if you want magic to be rare or not if mentions that you could also add an additional Fate Point cost to using that aspect if you wanted to.
The rule variation in this case is that the player with this extra can use Lore in ways others can't by casting spells.
For items It mentions cyberpunk type gear such as a hacking interface, the cost would be creating a skill to use that gear. Which means the player has this new ability to hack, but has to give up a skill slot for it.
For a superhero game were everyone is going to have powers you might even add in extras without a cost since they are so common to the genre.
Like everything in FATE you have to decide what works best for the story you and your players are trying to tell.
