Hey folks,
My friend is going to run a Star Wars game in Wild Talents soon. We're leaning away from Star Wars O.R.E. (mostly because I'm suspicious of it).
I'm a bit stumped as to how we could make Force Sense, or whatever you want to call force users' ability to sense their surroundings using the Force.
In the films, powerful Jedi can recognize their powerful friends through this sense. However, it is also dull to non life. If height represents how well an action was done, 2 hard dice would allow force users to identify anyone they've ever met before, even if they're undetectable otherwise. Should I build them as separate Miracles or Power Qualities? Should we just ban anything other than normal dice for this power?
A bit of background: For those of you familiar with the standard schema of the Force (in D20 and Wookiepedia) divides the force into three categories, Control, Alter, and Sense. Particular powers are attributed to one category or another.
Using the Augment extra, I've made Control, Alter, and Sense powers that function much like stats, and particular powers (like telekinesis or lightning) are powers that function like skills, except Augment requires a cost of 1 Will Power to preserve extras. Example: when you use Lightning, which is from the Alter category, you can pay 1 willpower to add your Alter dice pool to your Lightning dice pool.
What should I do to achieve these two disparate effects and avoid abuse with hard dice?
