My last game, an all monster game, would probably be Backseat Freestyle by Kendrick Lamar.
Ignorant, destructive, hedonistic. Sounds about right.
I'd probably run a game based on Stone Lions by Grasscut, probably followed by A Mysterious Disappearance. I love the imagery of exploring a large, ancient, abandoned house, and how it would connect to a news story about a missing person.
Machinae Supremacy and Mastodon were the first bands to jump into my head, but they're cheating really. Multiball always stuck me as an epic final fight scene, and let's face it, Mastodon's Leviathan gets anyone amped to go out and murderhobo the entire world.
Imaginary Places by Busdriver would be an interesting game. The players would take the place of grim reapers ushering souls to the afterlife.
I've stolen tons of RPG content from Billy the Mountain by Zappa. My Shadowrun character is Studebaker Hawk, Billy and Ethel have been villains and heroes in most settings.
If you want an entire campaign, this is how it goes down.
You start with Old Maui. Not just any Old Maui, but this Old Maui. The year is 1923. The party is sailing back from killing the Leviathan. You see, the party is a group of pulp heroes who inherited an ageless ghost ship, currently in the form of a massive Dreadnought, and use it to journey the world, slaying ancient beasts. Captained by the Whiskey Lord and crewed by the PCs, a group of ramblers, the crew are spending time resupplying, drinking and whoring until it's time to head back to sea. There's a tip that the Kraken has been spotted and is terrorizing merchant ships. Back on the sea they go. They do battle with the kraken, and the player with the most disads end up killing it. That would be Mary The One-Eyed Prostitute Who Fought The Colossal Squid And Saved Us From Certain Death On The High Seas, God Rest Her One-Eyed Soul
