This is why I'm moving to pdf. Not all files were great to read on my laptop but the new iPad is wonderful for all my gaming goodness.

I'm grabbing the box of these games and others and taking them up to the game store. I've already marked the games that are spoken for but hopefully I can find buyers for the rest. Wish me luck.

Just as quickly as it started the "clearance sale" is over. Not because I sold everything. Not because I had second thoughts. No, not anything so pleasant.
You see, we've been boxing and bagging up a lot of items around the house for eBay, garage sale, charity, etc. So today is the first wave of the charity pickups. Boxes and bags were moved outside early this morning. Sadly, as is usually the case some of those bags got picked up by folks other than the charity organization. This happens. I was told that we got a receipt for 5 out of the 7 boxes/bags that were put out. That made me pause ... five out of 7? There should have only been four bags.
You see where this is going. My gaming stuff I had listed for sale here and the collectibles that were bound for eBay were mistakenly put out on the porch. It was an accident. I called the charity in hopes they had my treasures. They confirmed they had the clothes and appliances, but no books or games. Very nice folks who were so apologetic but no dice. It seems those were picked clean before the charity pickup occurred.
So ... while I do have pdf copies of everything, I just lost hundreds of dollars due to an accident. And to make matters worse, the thieves probably have NO clue the worth of these items. They just looked better than old clothes and kitchen stuff. This is NOT how I wanted to start my Friday.
I shall now go beat my head against a post until I feel better or unconscious.

I've been there when I lost my old Traveler mini books ages ago.
But just think of how happy that dude at the thrift store is going to feel!
I know. It doesn't help.

Maybe I should tell you about the time my mother-in-law lost a bag full of $500 in small bills... by leaving it on top of the car and driving away.
