Setting:
Welcome to Space! This is the new frontier, a place where a young spacer can become a legend. We discovered spaceflight when a young Frenchmen accidentally overfilled his hot air balloon. Overnight, all the egg-headed sciency stuff about vacuum in space, no gravity -- it was all hokum. Our solar system is rife with strange planets, dangerous creatures and plenty of opportunity for imperialistic ... er ... enterprising nations to plant their flag on alien soil, establish colonies and conquer Space!
Characters:
Samantha: Ella Worthingstone, of the Chesterfield Worthingstones - Xenobiologist & Former Debutante - Ella was never satisfied with a society life in Virginia. Preferring space-camp to etiquette lessons, she aspired to the life of a scientist. So, after a dutifully charming performance at her debut, she struck out on her own aboard the family ship, Grendel, to explore the universe and make her mark in the discovery of alien creatures. For SCIENCE!
CADave: James Woodhouse Audubon - Naturalist - James, the grandson of artist John James Audubon, moved to California with the burgeoning Naturalist movement following John Muir. The new Naturalist movement thought it wise to begin exploring and preserving nature all around the solar system and he found his way to Jupiter before encountering the crew he now spends time with on harrowing adventures and animal excursions.
JIB: Hamish Mulgrue - Ship's mechanic & Bruiser (with a bigger heart than he'd care to admit) - He never really talks about his background or his past, though there have been indications that he had some experience with the military at some point.
Kimi: Grace Wynoka -
Gina: Roberta “Bert” Murphy - Pilot - Bert is a Canadian born daughter of the wild west, who left the tranquility of her family's Space-Wood™ tree farm and took to piloting space dirigibles to trek that final frontier between the planets. Rough and ready, a quick draw with a quicker wit, Bert looks for adventure beyond the horizon, just on the other side of the next planet.
