I don't know if this rule has ever been explicitly stated, but I think it should be. Don't fuck with the mook.

Who is going to make the stu statue inspired by Mother Russia: You know, minus the angry manish face, Mother Russia looks kinda hot. I'd hit that.

I don't know. I like the face. I'm attracted to a woman who looks like she should break my back with one arm

I made this five years ago for my Jackercon Paranoia game but it certainly was prescient...

Ok. Stu made me a moderator and an admin on these forums, and with that comes some autonomy. Witness, now, as I flex some of that autonomy.
I don't know what the issue is, but I have seen more "fuck you" and "asshole" and self-righteous "I'm right and you're wrong" bullshit on these forums in the last couple of weeks than I have in months. And it has to stop. If you cannot take part in these forums without following Stu's very, very simple rules, then this probably isn't the forum for you.
So. Effective immediately, the next "fuck you" or "asshole" or self-righteous "I'm right and you're wrong" bullshit or any other direct, personal insult that I see which isn't completely and totally obviously a tongue-in-cheek joking-around-with-my-buddies thing earns that person a one week ban. Period, the end, thank you for calling, *click* *dial tone*.
Do it again? Two week ban. Once more after that? Three week ban. You get the pattern, I'm sure.
And just as a clarifying thing? You can block whoever you want. You do not get to tell anyone to not reply to you; people can reply to whoever they want. However, if you block a moderator? Or an administrator? And that mod or admin has to moderate a discussion you're taking part in? "But... I had them blocked!" is not an excuse for not seeing and following the moderation.

Sheesh! I feel for ya, Hyvemynd... you mention Japan a lot, and it's almost never anything good. I do seem to complain about Japan a lot, don't I? Things here honestly aren't that bad though, otherwise I'd have left. It's just that the bad points about Japan (and there are bad points contrary to what your average anime fan boy would have you believe) are more entertaining to share than the good points. It's not like stories about how I feel safe enough to count the cash I just pulled out of an ATM while walking down the street are funny. Thankfully, I'm finally past the stupid Weaboo phase I was going through a few years back. I'd still like to visit Japan, but I'm no longer romanticizing the idea of living there. I'm sure that, like most places, there are good, great, bad and terrible things, so maybe one day I'll get a chance to visit and experience some of those good, and probably a few of the bad things. haha

However, if you block a moderator? Or an administrator?
Wait.... This is a thing? Weird. Most of the software that I am familiar prevents you from blocking moderators.

Notice the "testertim" account? That's me, testing that exact feature. You can block any account, except for the owner account.
