I recently saw Roug: One. I was disappointed. It didn't feel like starwars, the "secret plans" that everyone knows about and the CGI was disappointing. On the other hand, I loved the robot. Loved it.

I loved it specifically because it didn't feel like Star Wars, but was clearly inside the same setting. You can only tell that damn Saga story so often (which I love, but still...). It felt like the better versions of the old extended universe novels, where you could shake off the Skywalker dust and tell interesting stories with a really deep IP.

Just seen Baby Driver, I enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to seeing it; everyone says it's damn fun. A friend of mine did some of the costuming, too; all the diner waitress outfits.

It was super rad. I went purely on reputation of the director, despite it not looking like something I'd normally spring for at theater prices.

I am currently making my way through season 6 of Game of Thrones. Yes I know I'm behind, but I also have season 4 of Vikings and season 2 of Ash Vs. Evil Dead calling for my attention and with my work schedule I just fit in what I can when I can.

Really hated the Chameleon suit, but not the worst movie I'd ever seen. I loved the AR overlays, and the visuals were pretty cool in live action. How is it compared to the animated film? I think I have seen two or three of the theatrically released movies for this, and I enjoyed this live-action version more than those. And I was shocked that I did. I felt the anime films were self-indulgent and dry in a way that grated on me. The live action version is more accessible and well-paced than those cartoon ones. The visuals for sumptuous, as well.

And this is neither here nor there, but I enjoyed catching two of the three available Rick and Morty season three episodes that are out. Sadly, I got home and somehow missed the sale price on iTunes for buying a season pass. Sure liked what I saw though!

Pleasantly surprised by Star Trek: Discovery. Feels very much of the TV shows rather than the latest movies, but very modern in editing and story. Focuses on a central character rather than trying to force an ensemble down our throats (and yet, the members ensemble are already in two episodes, worming into my heart, especially the science officer.)

I worried that episode 3 might drop in quality. But it was good too. I’m hooked.

I'm actually excited to have some new shows to watch. The Gifted, Lucifer season 3, The Orville, South Park season 21. Good time for tv.

Been watching Season 3 of Dark Matter on Netflix. The entire run of Dark Matter has been pretty good!
