Mixed feelings about this. I loved the detail of the system, especially the character generation. Very old school in many ways, but with the outcome of very "realistic" old west characters. I bought the first edition pdf when a GM wanted to run it, but loved it and was very jealous that I'd missed out of the leatherette hardback version. The actual game was spoiled by my GM ditching the shot-clock combat system (without even giving it a trial run) and another player cheating on the their character generation. We played maybe two sessions before it crashed and burned. But I've since wanted to try GMing it myself. So seeing this second edition got me excited, but $67 shipping!!!?? That's more than I spent on Coriolis for the whole game plus shipping. Then there's is the very valid argument of many that second editions ahouod be kickstarted, the company should invest their profits from a first edition into the second and so on. Countering that though, this is a niche game, it's never going to make a fortune, and I I want the leatherette version, here's a way I can get that, without forcing them to take a loss producing too many. Anyhow, I've currently broken my self-imposed ban on KS to back this. But they have a month to come up with a better shipping deal, or I'm out. www.kickstarter.com/projects/kenzerco/aces-and-eights-reloaded-a-wild-west-role-playing/description
