I've been grappling with coming up with fronts for my Dungeon World game As usual, nothing gets me writing like a deadline not far off. I thought I'd share what I came up with. Feel free to comment or ask questions:
Grimgar Goblin Invasion
Danger:
The Grimgar Goblin Tribe
Impulse: To Multiply And Consume
Grim Portents:
Seize control of the Heart of Iron Mountain.
Reopen the undermountain tunnels.
Use the tunnels to reconnect with the rest of the tribe.
Invade The Kingdom of Shabella.
Impending Doom: Destruction (Conquering of the Elven Desert of Shabella)
Danger:
The Heart of Iron Mountain
Impulse: To Be Controlled
Grim Portents:
The Grimgar Goblins find a way into Thungaruhm (Abandoned Dwarven City).
The Heart is Penetrated and its Guardians Destroyed.
The Power of the Mountain is unlocked.
Impending Doom: Usurpation (Goblins Become Rulers of the Mountain)
Description and Cast:
The Heart of Iron Mountain was once the seat of dwarven power. Long ago, in an effort to halt the advance of the Grimgar Goblin tribe, the dwarves sunk the mountain and with the help of their Elven allies flooded the undermountain tunnels that the invasion force was utilizing to enter the Shabella Valley. Split, the Grimgar Goblins were halted in their advance as the land before them grew hostile and barren.
Today, the Grimgar tribe seeks to raise the mountain and open the path for invasion once again. With only the Dwarves guardians left to stop them, will Thungaruhm rise under control of the tribe?
