For my best friend Azuretalon's bachelor weekend, we're on our way to St. Louis for Fear the Con V. Yeah, they aren't as cool as you guys, but it's a lot closer than California for us. It'll be Azuretalon, myself, my better half, Cheeseburger Lover, his brother, and our buddy Eric. I guess they supply free beer at the con, so we'll call in if we get a little rowdy.
I wish I had a Happy Jacks shirt to wear...I'd totally rub it in the FtB people's faces.

Drink like fish and hold your liquor well.
Drink those booters under the table.
Make us proud.
Have fun.

Fear the Con was pretty fun overall. The free beer and free fruit was pretty cool. Played a few fun games, though after a completely exhausting week and not really sleeping the night before the con, I was a bit out of it by the end of the night. Got to play a game of Inspectors with one of the Booter hosts, Chad Wattler. Played some Pathfinder and tried out Gamma World, too. Good times overall.
Was it as cool as the other cons I've been to this year? Probably not, actually. Wish you guys weren't so darn far away, or else we'd make it out to those California cons!
Gonna read up on my new copy of Fiasco and probably crash.

I definitely felt like a Happy Jacks spy infiltrating an enemy coven at some points, but I had a blast.

I kept trying to drop hints that we were Happy Jacks listeners to see if anyone would catch on. I think I used the phrase "Storked it" a few times at the tables.

Gonna read up on my new copy of Fiasco and probably crash. 1. Fiasco rocks. We (my group + friend from Cali) hope to be running it over Google+ sometime in the next month or two. 2. I've actually been thinking lately that it might make more sense for me to use the money I've been saving for the 2013 Gen Con to head to Cali for one of the conventions Happy Jacks has a large presence at. Gen Con would be fun, but any convention with a large Happy Jacks contingent has got to be wayyyyyyy more fun.

It's too bad, but I don't think I was in any games with you guys at FTC. I'm Thud on their forums, and my kid was having her sweet 16 birthday party at the con.
I facilitated 2 Fiasco games, and it is AMA.....AZING! Especially in a "I don't have to prepare anything" kind of way.
Hope to see you at FTC 6!

Was your daughter named Nora? I think we played a Gamma World game with her. She had mentioned it being her birthday. Think I heard something over on Postcards. She looked like she had a blast!

You are right! FTC started on her 16th birthday. I mentioned it on the FTB forum and everyone went out of their way to make it a memorable con for her--sang her happy birthday, gave her a couple of gifts, and best of all ran some really cool games that she played in. So much that she joined the PBP continuation of one of her Pathfinder games. Which characters were you in Gamma World? Nora will remember, so I'll have a vicarious memory of you as well.

He was the Plant Psychic, I was a Yeti. I can say we both were not at our best that game. It had been a long bachelor party weekend and we were both tired. I'm pretty sure Muntjack was asleep at one point.

Yeah, I'm ashamed to say I think I was asleep near the end. Pretty exhausting weekend, haha.
