Lemme tell you about my Vampire character!
Stats-wise, she started fairly unremarkable. She was a plain-looking bookworm, with skill in Crafts and Library Science. I did stack her in Thaumaturgy and selected a few choice ritual spells for her.
Gabriele was a survivor of the concentration camps in WWII. Her father had worked at a museum in Koln as an art restorer and conservator; Gabriele and her sister helped him. When they were shipped off to the camps, a Tremere warlock scooped them up to work as his assistants in maintaining the libraries full of crusty old tomes. Eventually Gabs showed herself worthy of being Embraced, after which she ghouled her sister; the three of them traveled the world from chantry to chantry doing their thing.
Until they got to Los Angeles. This was Probie Tim's LA By Fire PBP game; in the years before game-start there had been a dust-up involving the local Tremere: the Nosferatu Prince was suborned one of the warlocks and was being taught Thaumaturgy (which the Tremere guard jealously). The young fool was found out, staked-and-baked, and this touched off a little war between the Prince and the Chantry. Guernicus, the Nosferatu Prince, laid siege to the Chantry - containing the Tremere vampires inside for weeks. Gabriele and her fellow Kindred rationed their stores (though with the power off, refrigerated blood didn't last), and she stretched her rations by feeding from her sister.
Eventually, though, she ended up succumbing to her hunger. She killed her sister, draining her dry. By the time she came out of it it was too late to try Embracing the younger Apfelbaum girl. The siege was lifted, the Prince deposed, and Gabriele put the blame squarely on Guernicus' shoulders. When the game started, she had finally decided it was time to start putting together her revenge on Stuart Guernicus, Nosferatu Primogen of the 7th Generation.
