+1000 Hawtness points to stork for the Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell reference. Best. Book. EVAR! Also a pretty good mini-series from the BBC. Also, Albert is that much cooler now that I know that the name wasn't just a coincidence.

I will second Stork on the "pee shivers" thing, it's definitely a thing that happens and I feel sorry for anyone who's never experienced it. It tends to only happen when you reaaaallllyyy have to go though, but damn does it feel satisfying. It's borderline orgasmic.

Only 20 minutes in, Stork reading the first mail, but... I do love how every utterance of "GURPS" is followed by a beat, then "YEAH!" -- Mook The West Coast Guru of GURPS

I will second Stork on the "pee shivers" thing, Before my son was born I was looking becoming a ref for our local ladies roller derby league, and my ref name was going to be P. Shivers. EDIT (forgot it was talk like a pirate day): afore me seed became a lad, I was gonna be a rulesman fer the wenches roller derby 'ere, an' me officers name was goin' ta be P. Shivers.

I haven't checked the twitch stream, but it sounds like Stork and JiB don't have their face-mics on: quiet and distant (or as if they were attached to their belly-buttons or something). Or is that just me?
EDIT (forgot it was talk like a pirate day): Matey's Stork 'n JiB be sounding quiet an' far off, like thar voices be comin' up ta deck from da brig. Mayhaps I've got some seawater in me ears?

It's a special feeling, if you are working an outdoor job and don't have a toilet nearby you get those precious moments at a regular basis.

I usually don't violently disagree with Stork but on two subjects in this podcast I find myself so far on the opposite side of the fence, I was moved to type this mess.
1, The Enemies disadvantage:
Even though having an enemy can be a bonus for the GM, at the same time the players are not doing the work for him/her. For the way Stu puts together games it works out fabulously that one player has an enemy and that may create a platform for plot hooks. I think it was Gina I agreed with when she said (this is a bad paraphrase) that if a player gets specific bonus for an enemy then there should be consequences to that player just like any other disad.
Granted when an enemy of one of the party starts messing with a player the others might get involved. It is a balancing act for the GM to make sure that the effects of the enemy disad will fall primarily on the shoulders of the player who took the disadvantage. An example is if Player A has an enemy and Player B is the one who has to deal with a majority of the enemies plots/actions, then why does Player A get the points?
2, Roleplayers don't use tactics.
When I think of all the different kinds of characters out there to play, a Fighter, Paladin, Warlord, Samurai, Bounty Hunter, Jedi, Gun Slinger, Ranger, Warlock, Musketeer, Pirate, Knight, Wizard, Cleric, Medic, Marine on and on. And I think of the kinds of things these adventurers do, inherently dangerous, out there killing people in a variety of ways, in battles, assassinations, dungeon crawls, in an existence that requires physical violence acted on others. There is a word for someone who has no idea of tactics, dead.
If I am playing any character in a dangerous situation, a character who is not naive about his chances for survival (that's right, probably GURPS), I as a player will employ what tactics I may, just as the character I am playing would, to try to live another day. It may be damaging to indicate that because I am "roleplaying," tactics don't matter, when at some level tactics would be essential the the survival the character being roleplayed.
I hope that didn't sound too grumpy.

I dunno, man. Coupled with your avatar pic, it reads pretty grumpy. ;-)
