Yeah, she's a total pain in the ass, and the Nature explains a ton of it, but I know the chat isn't always privy to that context. Albert has been driving Asa up a wall. He does this "dad" sort of thing, but treats her more like a dangerous idiot than an actual child. His concern for her is mostly spoken to everyone around them and not much to her directly. He keeps telling her they're a pack, but not really what that means. They're just so similar that it pushes her away. Albert certainly lives up to the Gangrel stereotype of being a terrible teacher. At this point, a lot of the fault lies with the other moties. Asa is surrounded by terrible influences and I can't remember anyone actually going Jon Ritter on you and saying "Here's eight simple rules for being a vampire. If you break those rules, someone's going to stake your cute fuzzy butt and leave you on a rooftop for the last tan you'all ever need."

She was never given a real run down of the "rules" despite the fact they all know she understands nothing of vampire culture. No one has stopped her from eating werewolves or other vampires. There's just been some sort of vague threat that she might be killed over things she doesn't have the full background on.

It'll have to happen fast with Mote winding down and you're gonna need about a million beers to do it. Ha!

We know that Asa is a child of sorts and that she's also rude, obnoxious, and salty af. Is that a result of her being embraced and left to her own devices or is it because that's who she is as a person in reality? If she got proper guidance and the nurturing she craves, would she become a more productive member of the Kindred? Is this more a situation of, this is you no matter what take it or leave it?

Well, she was Embraced just as she was becoming a self-sufficient adult. She'd recently moved out from home to remove the monetary burden on her parents, and she was working a crappy job and living with three roommates to squeak by. BUT she was surviving and making a way for herself. Then here comes a vampire who, without permission, sends her back to square one. At this point she's so damaged that I don't know just how much her personality could be reformed with guidance, but it definitely would have been a different un-life path for her if she hadn't been ditched by her Sire or if another vampire had been there to guide her. Asa literally did not know or understand what she was when she was Embraced. She was driven by bestial instinct and didn't know that there was any other way to be. That's part of why she has Lunacy and other such problems now.

Never say never. There's always the reprogramming option when it comes to vampires, though she may drool more.
So does Asa have a blank spot where memories of the attack should be, or do you think she got attacked while she was sleeping?

I was actually thinking of you when I said that, but now I have to take up the mantle. The Beacons are lit! SirGuido calls for aid!

Asa was attacked soon after she got home from a shift. She had her back to the window in her room and she never saw the attacker. It all happened in a blur and all she remembers is being assaulted, blacking out, and then waking up to find herself in a frenzy and killing her roommates.

You seem to be the misunderstood one in the group. Is there anything you'd like to let people know, so that they may understand you a little better.
I do want to say Mac, that when you dropped Asa nature during Kindred One session 0, it made everything much clearer. i also applaud for keeping that from the one person who would benefit the most from knowing that, Stork. Not to knock his RP chops, but I don't think he would have been able to keep himself from metagaming after that. It did look like he wanted to help Asa, but was trying to treat her as a "survivor". I believe he even said it many times, but he would have known that your nature was, child?, he probably would have changed his approach without even thinking about. Bravo to you.

Interesting. Well she's not a Shovelhead so Albert can calm down about the Sabbat connection already.
