Here is another setting. BTW, the "funded" level is $250K. Does that seem a mite ambitious?
Estimated Delivery: July 2018

For having a month of build up, I'm kind of underwhelmed.

It’s not what I want to kick in on, but I've been watching KS for a while now, and I think they’ll hit their funding goal. It’s a long campaign and they already have 450 backers. Given the name(s) behind it, they SHOULD get 2500 backers. If they don’t it will be because it doesn’t look international shipping friendly: no european distribution hub, and boxed, therefore liable to import duties when books on their own would be tax free.

I would think somebody smarter than me could find a way to start a business in Europe just to deal with stuff like this. It can't just be Kickstarted rpgs that have this problem.

With "print on demand" it should be super easy to do international sales of books. I think it's strange that I haven't seen something like that in any normal bookstore in Sweden, since photo stores can print any picture a book store should be able to print any .pdf.

The problem with print on demand is that it's typically lower quality at a higher cost than a bulk print run. It also takes copies away from the main print run and small runs = higher cost.
I am surprised though at the lack of decent international support on a KS of that size, seems like it's deliberately sabotaging itself. As for bookstores being able to do print on demand that is a day I look forward to, would love to be able to walk into my flgs and get them to print out a new release there and then even if it isn't as good looking as a professional run.

Quite a few companies have, for example Kixto (though just looking for that online they seem to have disappeared) and Gameslore. US RPG companies that send a pallet or two from the printers direct to fulfillment centres like this then put “EU friendly shipping” badges on their campaign. (Though how long after Brexit they'll remain in the UK, I don’t know).

Sort of. Drive Thru uses iirc Lightning Source, which is just as high quality as a large scale printer. Without already knowing which were their’s, you would be very hard pressed to pick them out of a batch of other books. And based off DT’s PoD prices, they don’t seem too expensive.
