Hi guys! I'm new here and a big fan of Mote of Sin.(go Gangrels and Esmeralda!) ^^ I saw a error on the damage calculation during the game. The damage should be cut by half after the soak roll. Otherwise 1 damage is missed. For example: "Esmeralda shoots on Calvin for put hands on her and causes 8 damage. Calvin soaks 2."
8/2 = 4-2 = 2 damage.
8 - 2 = 6/2 = 3 damage.
Sorry for any errors on writing. I'm learning (Intermediate grade)

Correct, because vampires are dead and do not care about tiny object entering their body except the head For example: "Esmeralda shoots on Calvin in the head for putting hands on her and causes 8 damage. Calvin soaks 2."
8 - 2 = 6 lethal damages
Bullets normally do lethal on anyone else
p.284"...Vampires, and only vampires, consider firearms attacks to be bashing damage as well — unless the bullets are aimed at the head (difficulty 8), in which case they are considered lethal."

My gut instinct says that the damage should be halfed before soak, or the soak roll has less of an impact on bashing damage than it would've on lethal; though I think you are right, this is by design. Halfing after soak makes bashing damage less effective against vampires across the board, independent of their stamina and possible fortitude scores.

In my opinion, bashing should use the weight for calculate. In the game a punch and the steel ball bellow (i don't know the name haha) have the same damage.

If you attack someone with actual demolishing equipment, you ought to use a hefty bonus to your damage roll. A baseball bat awards +2 dice, so a wrecking ball ought to award about +20 dice on a direct hit. (And Brujah Elders with demigod levels of Potence may wield them as a melee weapon. )

The battle system seems complex, only playing i can understand more. Potence 10 + Frenzy = Hulk Wrecking ball, i like the name ^^

Werewolf 20th P. 453 "A vampire may also spend a blood point to heal lethal or bashing damage (bashing damage is halved before soaking)."
WOW!
But the same page below "Due to their unliving nature, vampires suffer only half damage (after soak) from attacks that inflict bashing damage"
even the books doesn't know!
