Off to an exciting start! I like how the Dark Ages-setting make the feudal hierarchies of vampires come so natural. I'd like to incorporate this in my modern games more (albeit having the Teutonic knight wage legal warfare with their legion of lawyers, hauberk and sword replaced by tailored suits and briefcases, but with the same level of authority, blood-lust and zeal!). I have a tendency to make even my elder NPCs too shaped by modern sensibilities, instead of portraying a parallel archaic culture, far removed from their mortal counterpart. (Then again, for elder vampires in a medieval setting, their state of affairs must seem as dated and foreign to contemporary mortal eyes... Eh, whatever. Story trumps history, right? On a related note, there appears to be a fair amount of history buffs at the table for this game. I'm looking forward to being schooled, as well as entertained ) You should be wary of mentioning more Tzimisce arts-and-crafts project. I can sense gina composing a mental todo-list through the screen!

I worried about the Tzimisce character vs the nun character moral alignment.

I can sense gina composing a mental todo-list through the screen! My father was a Western Civ teacher for many years (now teaches Con Law), so it both instilled an interest in history and a certain amount of knowledge just by osmosis. As for ideas regarding fleshcrafting arts and crafts, I doubt Gina needs any help from me in the creative arts department.

clanhanna Just to clarify, there are two types of demons in World of Darkness; the Fallen and Umbrood Demons. The type of demons that vampires truck with are Umbral demons. The Fallen can't make pacts Vampires because they have lost the spark of Faith, and the Fallen are still stuck in the Abyss, with the exception being the Earthbound, who are slowly going into slumber as Lucifer spreads the Abrahamic faiths to suppress the religions the Earthbound have created. The Fallen will not appear in mass until the mid 1990's when the Sixth Great Maelstrom breaks open the Abyss. Umbrood Demons are spirits from the Umbra. They can truck with Vampires, unlike the Fallen, and grant powers or teach Dark Thaumaturgy. There are also Demonics in Wraith the Oblivion, but they don't interact with anyone but Wraiths.

You can interact with Wraiths but Demonics are Plasmids rather than Wraiths and they don't leave the Tempest, so it's unlikely that most vampires will even realize they exist. I doubt even most Cappadocians/Giovanni are willing to explore the Tempest, for what little gain they would get.
