Just to give you guys a little bit of info, there are some settings that are being worked on. I’ll keep the details slim, as I’m not the one working on some of them.
1. A fantasy/historic/magic setting. (That’s Blood Blade and Tusk, btw). 2. A science fiction setting. 3. A steampunk/pulp setting. (That’s Vast Dominions). 4. A modern conspiracy setting (That’s Conspiratorium, but it’s a long way off). 5. A pirate setting.
Here are some things I think the system could do well (this isn’t to influence, just my own personal wish list).
1. An Old West setting. 2. A horror setting. (I’ve finished the first draft of fear/horror rules — heavily influcenced by Ten Candles. They’ll probably be published in the 3rd or 4th Moments, the ZINE!) 3. A post-apocalypse game (I’ve developed nothing for this kind of genre). 4. Here there bee Dragons. (this is something I started, but my plate’s a little full. Basically it’s Elizabethan England, but the dragons woke up). 5. A modern day Blood, Blade and Tusk. (It’s Blood, Blade and Tusk, but advanced to the modern day. Think Netflix’s Bright). 6. Mobile Danger Force (I ran a one-shot of this setting very early on in the game’s development. It’s like Mission Impossible. Set in the 1960s. Super spies with a wealthy benefactor — again, my plate’s full). 7. Agents of SMERSH (I did a one-shot at a con in Savage Worlds. The charaters are Soviet agents, operating in the US, working to avert a nuclear war, and trying to save the capitalist imperialists from themselves. The main trope of this is the conflict between old Stalinist commies and new Kruschev commies working together. The former are “true believers” and the latter are kind of infatuated by Imperialist America. The former are dressed in stogy grey suits, the latter in flaired disco pants and flowered shirts... you get the idea.) 8. Khmer Rogues - a Vietnam-War-era fantasy game. Again, I ran this as a con game, were American soldiers searching VC tunnels stumbled upon a Drow Elf city. Dragons versus automatic weapons (tl/dr: the dragons lose). Maybe the VC get their hands on a Drow spell book, so the “Men Who Stare at Goats” are sent in to save the day. 9. Vikings!
Anyway, that’s just some ideas I brainstormed a couple months back, about settings that I thought would work well in MoT.
