The only down side to Baltimore is that that's what they used in the rule book for their example city creation.
If we get through city creation and people are still responding, there's no reason we couldn't go on to character creation.

Was Baltimore their example? Been a while since I read it.
In that case, I'll throw my support behind Seattle.

Baltimore is the sample city from the books so I'm meh to that. Seattle sounds good. You have the Pacific Northwest to draw on for mythology. Migrant yeti coming down from British Columbia, native trickster spirits, the remnants of the grunge scene (wizards are slow to move on I imagine), hipster sorcerers, increasing tech start ups making it hard to move around without hexing something by accident, lycanthropes, etc.
I could totally imagine an Earth elemental shaping himself to look like shiny Robert Patterson (sic) and pretending to be a Twilight sparklpire to pick up women. And then the actual vampires want to have a few words with him....

Oh god please do not bring hipsters into this... I think that might be a bit over the top...

I haven't got the books so didn't realize they'd done Baltimore. Just one more reason to pick up the book I guess, I love that city so interested in seeing what they did with it.

Oh god please do not bring hipsters into this... I think that might be a bit over the top... Instead of the normal elemental casting paradigm they have irony, sarcasm, thrift, snobbishness, and obfuscation. "Hey man, I cast fireballs ironically," and then gets shot in face.

OK, looks like we have a winner with Seattle. Like we had before, I'm going to start two threads: one for the city creation proper, and one for kibitzing.
