I don't know why, but I have really, really enjoyed this game. So far the Mote of Sin and this is my favourite APs from Happyjacks, by far. Maybe more talky games work better as APs? All players have been excellent, but funniest of all was Kimi.

I also see it as something that would appeal to you thematically...weird historical Eastern Europe!

Well maybe. It's kind of scary though for us who grew up during the cold war to imagine Poland being ruled from beyond the pale by vampires...

Again I think that’s the appeal. Vampires as proxy soviets sucking the life out of the populace. Terrifying.

I agree, it has been a fun listen! And quite the setup for a possible sequel, with the characters tied into conflicts that could shape the larger region for centuries to come. There's the bad blood (pun intended) with the Tremere as well as Hardestadts lineage of Ventrues. There's a budding gargoyle rebellion brewing, the probable leader of which sharing a dark secret with the coterie. There's the voivod of all voivods, perhaps not at all eager to see a Ventrue claim the city of Krakow. I felt bad for gina, though, it often sounded like she fought a losing battle against the mechanics. The crunch in (DA)V20 is both a blessing and a curse. The Tzimisce and their fleshcraft sound pretty open-ended, but a bunch of stuff have already been formulated into certain dots, discipline levels and recipes. It does make the job for the GM a helluva lot easier, but it can also feel very restricted from the players point of view. It's a tricky one, and often repeated with other concepts and powers in WoD. Sometimes, I've opted to use a more open-ended system with the setting, with the hopes that narrative game mechanics could give the players more leeway without me having to worry about balancing issues. But that has thus far required a massive effort in order to ensure that some core concepts of vampires are reflected in this system (the beast, hunger, blood as a limited resource etc.) - and I've quickly resigned to using Storyteller for the sake of expedience.

Thanks for the feedback Linus . :) I don't know that I felt like I was fighting the mechanics so much per se. The game can certainly be complicated and has layers, so imo definitely requires some dedicated game time with a savvy GM in order to 'play the game' on par with the elegance of the game's design. I did feel that the DA book was missing so much info that I really wanted access to... The world (vamp and human) is so different at that time, before the Camarilla etc., and there were areas I wanted to explore with the character which seemed to be open but were source-material dependent, if that makes sense. So glad you enjoyed it, I would love to play Ilona again. <3

Very glad to hear you enjoyed the game! I certainly enjoyed running it, and opportunity to bring my interpretation and flavor of Vampire game to you, the listener/viewer.

Did I miss the post scriptum for all the characters? I loved that part of Mote and would love to hear some of what transpired after the game ended.
...or do you save that for the next arc?
