Yip-Yip? Hmm... looking at the Monsterhearts Wikipedia page, it doesnt seem that Alien is an available character skin... They may not be terribly sexy, but they sure can dance... Excellent idea! *unpacks the playbook tools*

I've got her intro written, and I'm finalizing her name. All I need now is to watch the podcast enough to get 800 beers. You may find you have more beers than you think you do, but sadly not 800.

Can't help but notice people are making NPC's with the idea in mind of playbooks. You'll should probably stop that. Playbooks are for players. The MC has their own moves and NPC's don't have stat array's like PC's do.
Good news though, you can still make whatever you want. I'd suggest to the MC that viewer NPC's be restricted to existing monster factions or mortals (because special snowflake npc's are the worst).

I don't have a playbook, as I don't know the game. All I have is an introductory description and theme song. I also got a like from StrangeLikeThat for it.

People are able to make their NPCs as detailed as they like and we can take it from there. We may not use everything, but it may give us some interesting (read: evil) ideas.

Not sure if this will be where Rose eventually ends up but tappy sounded so disappointed no one was with him on this song... “We decided?!? My best interest ?!?”

Yes, you can use playbooks as inspiration, but it's important that the focus of all the drama stay on the PCs, so NPCs may or may not get the abilities you want. Spend wisely! When I GM, unless I need something specific, most NPCs stay mortal, as to become better victims.

I wrote it in the chat, but there is this other thing I've seen Jason Cordova from the Gauntlet do in his Monsterhearts games, which is another way of doing end-of-session-zero play (or another pre-homeroom play). It looks kind of like this: He has each of the players do a "preparing for school in the morning" scenes. This is sometimes just a little vignette, with the PC showing how they get ready or get to school. Or it's a roleplay with the GM depending on the parents and other associated NPCs that are associated with those scenes. I love this idea! That's great fun! I always enjoy vignettes, so if StrangeLikeThat doesn't use this, I probably will.

I love this idea! That's great fun! I always enjoy vignettes, so if StrangeLikeThat doesn't use this, I probably will. Oh, I found the video! Here's their first session in that series. The concept was sort of a Breakfast Club with everything revolving around detention on Saturday. I put this link to start at the time when Jason starts with play (after the initial character setup and strings and such). One really cool thing he does here as well is "Painting the Scene", which is when he is showing a facet of a place (in this case a PC's room) and asks everyone else a question to show what the place is like... "What do we see that shows Sophia's room as one of a messy teenager with an occult enthusiasm?" He asked all the other PCs, but ended on that PC to round it out. Oh, and warning: these aren't short vignettes... in this case it was pretty much the play for session Zero... a whole bit of RP around getting ready in the morning, and having them interact with various family members, etc.
