Wow, so I have always avoided buying into Vampire. But Hite’s appointment as writer had me tempted. His attitude to Vampires suggested there would be no more trench coated superheroes who occasionally bit someone. Then the marvellous (in my opinion, I’ll admit controversial too) playtest document showed Hite’s vision of Vampires as proper monsters had not been diluted. Now I hear design and production are being handled by Fria Ligan and Modiphius...
I’m in.

It’s quite likely that after the restructuring, WW doesn’t have the people/systems for that stage of the process. And say what you want about their games, Modiphius makes a solidly constructed product. I am unfamiliar with Fria Ligan. But again, not knowing the context, it’s possible that design is referring to the layout of the book.

But again, not knowing the context, it’s possible that design is referring to the layout of the book. Fria Ligan are the geniuses behind Coriolis; Mutant Year Zero and of course Tales from the Loop. All lovingly designed, in styles that fit each game’s genre. Not sure how they split actual production with Modiphius, but my hard copies of Coriolis, Tales and Star Trek Adventures are all lovely to hold. Yes, WW are handling the game design with Ken Hite as lead writer. And yes, without a production and distribution infrastructure of their own, they needed partners for hard copies.
