I don’t want us to become an echo chamber of people who agree with each other. I'm almost never on the forums, but am omnipresent on the discord- I can assure you beyond a shadow of a doubt that will never happen. And while I won't celebrate the loss of a community member, I will not shy from saying that sometimes a negative influence must be pruned for the health of the garden; and I was heavily pushing for the shears in this case More directly related to the topic of the podcast; I find it bizarre that so many people seem to have issues with others expressing their limits and comfort in terms of social games. If a person says "hey, subject [x] if off limits because I'm uncomfortable with it" then that isn't them trying to tell you you can't bring up that subject, just that you can't do it **with them** due to their own personal hangups. Which is... What a healthy person does? Sets boundaries so that any interaction can remain healthy and friendly? Imho, it strikes me that people that get rankled at that are just upset because they are being preemptively called out on being inappropriate. Even if the story you want to tell is DIRECTLY related to the themes the player said were uncomfortable, then it's only a GOOD thing if a player mentions that as an issue beforehand- it gives you a chance to give fair warning this might not be the game for them.

“True Shite” If this is a reversible spell, is the opposite “Shampoo”?

AC vs. Damage Reduction. Go. Damage reduction IS AC if you allow called shots to get around the armor. Discussion over.

There are a whole heap of false equivalencies floating around this thread. It's almost as though this episode could be called "No Stew, All Beef." Go on... Schnyckies, I hope I'm referring to the right fallacy. In truth, regarding "No Stu, All Beef," I was just trying to work out how to get beef stew pun out of all the tumultuous contention in play. However, I took umbrage with ayslyn 's everyone should be treated equally observation, because there are people who can't help being what they are, and then there are attendees who smell like salami. That's a choice, even if it's an unconsciously made one. (Sorry, friend, you know I love you.) But I took more offense at the late StevenSW's assumption that the roles can be reversed, that men and women are operating from an equivalent position of entitlement, and that the sex of the people in an argument can be simply swapped and that the argument will still make sense. "I'll be reporting you?" Seriously, get a dawg-garned grip. Anyway, I guess "heap" was a bit of overstatement, but I was feeling it at the moment.

Since this could potentially come across with the wrong tone, let me start by saying that we’re all good chronovoreAgain, I am constricted by work and the limitations of me typing on a phone. So, a more detailed response will have to wait until I get home.

What I meant by treating everyone equally, I meant that only in the regards of the Race/Gender/Orientation/Creed thing. All of the out of game stuff. Not including someone because they're a woman is a jerk (yes, I am being extremely nice there) move. Excluding them because they are a jerk is fine. We exclude people from our groups all the time, for a number of reasons that are perfectly acceptable. I'm not going to be inviting anyone into my group right now as we've got about eight people already who can pretty consistently attend. You could be the nicest, most well behaved, coolest cat around; and sadly I'd be turning you away.

You know, if there's anything I enjoy about Happyjacks, its that it's always consistent no matter how long I go without listening in. Stu is still Stu, Tappy is insane, guests come and go, etc. And no matter what, there's always a quote about time records somewhere in every episode.
Here's to another 10 years of this.
