After running my most recent sessions of Masks last night, I realized the Players and I have found our voice in this shared story called an rpg. It’s part Monty Python silly and part pure heartwhenching and it seems to work.
We find ourselves really enjoying Masks and we never would have found it without this podcast. I wanted to thank Hyvemynd for taking me through my first Dungeon World experience and Joe Crak for coming up and running the wrestling game with my friends. While Powered by the Apocalypse didn’t quite click for me as a GM with those games it made me interested in other games like it. I never would have listened to the Monster of the Week And Masks APs if it wasn’t for those first two games.
Adam and JiB, thank you for running the previously mentioned APs. Without the Masks AP we would have never bought the Masks book. I have only enjoyed three APs and that was my favorite. And the Monster of the Week AP has colored what our superhero world is like. Somali Warlords making characters into cold iron versions of wolverine to fight efreet best sums up some of the stuff going on.
So again thank you all.
