So,... Bulldogs got nominated for the "Best Rules" in the 2012 ennies. I have to say it has got to be one of my favorite FATE rulesets. One particularly neat item is that the skills section gives specific uses for skills, such as: Overcome Obstacles, Place Manuever, Attack, Defend, Block, etc. It does that for every skill. There's a lot more I like about it, but I'll let those go for now.
Also, it's not gigantic. It tips the scales at 162 pages. I am really fond of this game. I got in on the Kickstarter, but it's up on RPGnow for $10.
So,... I grabbed a couple of the free Bulldogs adventures off RPGnow, and if I can get enough interest, the next time my wife has book club I'll run one over G+.
If people are interested we can make up characters (maybe even a ship) here so we're ready to go. Book club is in a month. If I get really into it, I may even try to set it up on roll20.net

I have really been wanting to play Bulldogs since it came out. I'm good for Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Yeah, I do like the attempt at trying to standardize skill uses with that. One would think it would help the player a bit.

Played Bulldogs! at a con. Was really kind of a blast. If you want Farscape-esque style of sci-fi play, I think it's a great game!

it's an easy read. It's actually fantastic for skimming.
The main races, political factions, etc. have the Aspects right there. you can get a really good feeling for it just by reading the Aspects.
Due to other commitments, the easiest night for me to do this would be a Wednesday at about 8:30 Central (I live in St. Louis) A city that is could easily drown in beer, it's just that most of it sucks. So I drink whiskey or bourbon instead.
Also, I can't tolerate gluten so beer is pretty much out for me.
Oh, I totally agree that it would do Farscape fantastically. That show is pure space pulp, and it was awesome.

I think one of my favorite bits of Bulldogs Exclamation Point is how it handles wealth & resources with fragile Aspects. I'm not sure how many of these Bulldogs rules are really FATE 3.0 / Spirit Of The Century and which are new concepts. So you're going to just come up with the Ship & Captain concept then? Anything in mind for Power Level? It would be slightly interesting to see Roll20 used for the map-intensive scenes for FATE. Also, found anyone else to play?

just got back from vacation.
I'm good with building the ship and captain cooperatively, we could do it here or on corkboard.me or something like that.
I don't think I've got enough people right now, but if (as an exercise) we did one here just for fun, that'd be cool too.

Good idea. I've got someone who is also interested and would like to join in. Are you fine with that?

Okay, silly wife never tells me anything. The good news: I can actually start a bit earlier than I thought this time. At about 7:40 Central The bad? news: It needs to be tonight! (sheepish grin) sorry about the short notice, and if it won't work I have only myself to blame. As long as I get 2, count 'em 2 players I'll give it a go. Also those players need only the vaguest idea what they want to be. ie. Arsubaran pilot Templarii hacker etc. we can try to make a ship or we can just use the black watch out of the book for this trip down the spaceways. you can also fill in skills as we go. again sorry about the short notice, but if you're up for a game tonight, let's make it happen. Theron Teter is my IRL name and there can't be that many of me on google+ also the picture there is the same as the picture here.

Better luck next attempt. No worries. My personal time is like an aircraft carrier at this point in my life. It takes figurative days to come around

I've just been underwater at work lately. Totally lost track of time. Yup, I'll give it a shot down the road.
And now I have a Happy Jacks circle on Google+, and I'll likely just spam them all a day or so in advance if I'm short a player or two.
Also, I will be providing significantly more warning on the time threshold.
