Already a backer, absolutely love the stuff they've put out, I just wish Demon Hunters was popular enough to get a new movie.
I'd also recommend Journey Quest, their webseries, to anybody who hasn't seen it, season 1 is all on youtube and new episodes of season 2 are airing every tuesday.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm really excited about this, having just discovered The Gamers this spring (yeah, I know, I'm late to the party). I'll almost certainly be supporting this on Kickstarter.
I haven't watched Journey Quest yet, not being quite sure what it's about. Can anyone give me a rundown? Is it like Standard Action?

Also there is the paladin that kills every evil looking thing on sight, for justice!

I do my best game planning when I have a nerdy movie playing.
Dorkness Rising was DEFINITELY a movie I planned many a game too.
I'm sooooooooo excited for the next one.

They still have 12 days to go. I upped my pledge--the idea of minis of the Dorkness Rising characters was irresistible. Fingers crossed!

Just heard that Paizo has supported this project. This information from the gamers Facebook: "A huge thanks to Paizo for the boost they gave our Hands of Fate campaign today! Check out the link and give their facebook page some love while you're at it!"
The project got a $20,000 bump in the last couple hours. A quick search gave me no hard particulars on Paizo's "support."
The absence of WotC on the D&D Documentary is both blinding and deafening at once. Though it should be mentioned that their legal department allowed the documentary access to Frank Mentzer, Tim Kask and Gail Gygax.... (Yeah, whatever. You had to live through it to get the sardonism.)
I think Pathfinder should back the D&D Documentary and make the coronation official.
Glad to see the Dead Gentlemen project moving forward. I like that they release their stuff for free so there is the incentive for everyone to show some appreciation.

Paizo gave the Dead Gentleman space in their booth at GenCon. They also sold their merchandise at GenCon. There may have been some other help. Paizo will obviously be getting some payback if the film gets made.

Paizo seems to grok a responsibility towards the hobby and the hobbyists. That's leadership.

Paizo and Dead Gentlemen/Zombie Orpheus have had ties for several years, actually. Both of the other films in the "Gamers" series were offered through the Paizo website ... until they sold out, anyway! I had to buy my copies used.
Since Dorkness Rising featured D&D 3.X, I speculate that the Gentlemen didn't care for D&D 4E and went over to Pathfinder instead, since that seems to be about the time they made the transition. TG:DR was made in 2008, the year D&D 4E came out; the special edition of TG:DR came out in 2010(?) and was featured on the Paizo website.
And I am SO staying out of the D&D-vs-Pathfinder battle that could develop from here. I have no horse in that race since I've never played D&D 3, D&D 3.5, OR Pathfinder.

And I am SO staying out of the D&D-vs-Pathfinder battle that could develop from here. I have no horse in that race.... Funny, neither does WotC. Ho! ho! ho! Seriously though I just had this conversation regards the music industry not participating with Napster (back in the day) to help file sharers discover/re-discover music; Tom Petty boycotting the $20 CD prices; name artists releasing albums for free online (asking for a donation); and the comic Louis cutting out both TicketMaster and HBO to go direct to his audience via the web; and that experiment with Coca Cola offering a can of soft drink in New York for a suggested donation (and no one around).... And then there is the model of fear that brings protectionism and market contraction and share short selling. I can watch all The Gamers stuff online but C.T.V. ("Canadian TV") cuts it's online nightly news due to reporting Olympic coverage... and I notice The Gamers, The Guild, Paizo, etc., are doing well. I guess that is more on my corporate mind than edition wars.
