Feed Hicks over at Evil Hat has been pretty vocal on this stuff too. He's only completed a few Kickstarter projects himself, but he brings a lot of publishing background to his comments. For some highlights of his Kickstarter tips, check out his podcast, thatshowweroll.libsyn.comThat's How We Roll. His last two episodes have been from a panel at Metatopia, and talk a lot about this kind of stuff. If you can't tell, I'm sort of a fan, not only of his games, but of his transparency as a game publisher. -Freyki-

When the hell did people start calling the "Dark Age" of comics, the "Iron Age"? Now the world has turned me into a Hipster against my will. Because I liked it better before and Iron Age sounds stupid.

That's a well structured and reasonable kickstarter. They may have to get some money from me.

Hi, guys. Thanks for the kind words on the KS drive. This our first independent project, and we want to make sure that we treat our potential customers and fellow gamers right.
That's one of the reasons I wanted to ensure that I was able to provide a regular update schedule for people--no one likes getting link-spammed, but everyone loves to stay in the loop. Further, I want to get this game in your hands. It's a ton of fun to play, and there's really nothing on the market like it.
Oh, and as for the "Iron" Age vs. "Dark" Age? I always learned it as the Iron Age, as it fits with the other metallic eras of comics history. Golden, Silver, Bronze...Iron.
By all means, if you have any questions about the game or the KS, let me know!

Oh, and as for the "Iron" Age vs. "Dark" Age? I always learned it as the Iron Age, as it fits with the other metallic eras of comics history. Golden, Silver, Bronze...Iron. But when was that? The most often metallic word I have heard used was Copper age. Seen Here marvel.wikia.com/Comics_by_Era, here, veryfinenearmint.com/key-copper-age-comics/ and here if you scroll down to select which era you would like to purchase from www.mycomicshop.com/comicbooksMost people just called that all that Alan Moore, Frank Miller 80s antihero shit the Dark Age, they called it that because it was bleak and some might say there was a dark nature of the stories. And everyone got in on that action they even put a Boy Wonder's life up to a vote and when the fans voted in favor of The Joker beating a kid to death with a crowbar DC said Okay! with goddamn smile. So a metal like Copper really doesn't live up to the era. And then the 90s came and most everything from there on is the Modern Age. I don't really care and I was mainly just making a stupid joke. You can call your book the Aluminum Age, it's your book and best of luck to you.

Fair enough, brother. I've seen Iron, Dark, Modern, and Copper as ways to refer to it so far and, honestly, I'm not too surprised.
That's the funny thing with history--not everyone can ever agree on things like this. Ask one historian when the Great Depression ended, and he'll tell you 1939. Ask another, and it'll be 1945. Ask a third, and he'll say it ended in the 50s. And that's okay--just different perspectives on things.
Thanks for the interest and the discussion. Cheers!
