I could not finish listening to RPGMP3 - Shattered Star Session 4 (actual play) for the same reason Stu mentions. And I tried.
I did not mind the foray into wearing pasties in Texas clip joints or the discussion about bangers and Polish sausage or anything else that added colour to the group. The group were fun people. It was when they began to play that all the colour they had built up with me as a listener went deathly pallor. I search a room. Roll. (according to the GM's description there was nothing in the room excent some armoir, mentioned after the search roll) - lucky that roll or there would have been nothing truly!) I entered a hallway of a building with the thief who saw/surprised an ambush ahead of her, ahead of the party, she was unseen and... listening. Listening? (always listening) Really! Okay. Roll. The party made no preparation for communication. So they begin to discuss what to do and they're rather confused so the discussion starts to enumerate many possibilities. GM asks: are you talking? Nooooooo.. (cause, even they know that would be stupid) they're using hand signals "we pre-arranged" - and if that were so why the need to inform the GM they are pre-arranged hand signals? Sounds like good old fashioned munchkin Bullshit to me. (lucky the GM is a stupid artist working with bullshit, huh team) Everything broke down into a roll.
And I could not care how the ambush came off. I could not soldier through the podcast even though I was doing something else. It irked me. I lost my engrossment in what I was doing.
I listened for 90 minutes for the party to start and move and arrive in the building to its first (potential) combat. And I was reminded I have a Pathfinder game tomorrow at the ITALIANS I should check on - to see if my pass card has been revoked.
