It's the dumbest thing a podcaster can do, but I really have no choice. Because of how I originally set up the show, I'm precluded from using certain features on my blog.
So, I've changed the feeds and am in the process of updating them.
It has since broken my iTunes links, so I've submitted a request to them to look into it.
Hopefully this will all be resolved soon.

Is this an iTunes thing mostly or do we need to do something to keep current with the RSS as well?

Depends on what you use. Many podcatchers use iTunes' podcast database, since it tends to be very complete, if you happen to use one of those, you're buggered until it sorts itself out. Others have their own. iTunes support finally got back to me and my feed has been manually updated, but it can take 48 hours for the store to update it. Other podcatchers will slowly catch up as they update their databases from the iTunes store. If you have the ability to just put in a feed, here they are: www.happyjacks.org/feed/podcastwww.happyjacks.org/feed/actualplayThe first is for the regular show, the second is for the actual play. I've already set up several 301 redirects, so even if you're using the old feeds (happyjacks.org/?feed=podcast and happyjacks.org/?feed=actualplay) they will automatically redirect. And most podcatchers will see the redirect and update the feed eventually. There's a particular plugin, called prettylink that requires a change in default wordpress naming. It didn't exist when I originally set up the page, but now that it does, it's damn near essential.

Actually, I think all podcatchers (including iTunes) allow you to manually enter a feed url.
In iTunes it's under the file menu -- subscribe to a podcast is the item, I think. And if you put in the feed there manually, you should experience no interruption whatsoever.

Using Thunderbird, I had to subscribe to the new links you posted. Just in case that helps anyone.

Using iTunes and the iPhone podcasts app, I had to delete the feeds and resubscribe.

Is this why the "Ghost Busters" and first "L5R" actual play isn't linked?

It's fixed.
I have no idea why those two posts would have changed the file names for the episodes, but I changed them back...

Hello, I signed up on the forum specifically to ask these questions: the new feed seems to be missing episodes 0817 and 0802, what happened? Can it be fixed? Does someone just need to reupload those episodes?
My concern is this: episode 0817 is the round table with The League of STEAM. It was a fantastic discussion about the roots of the genre and the passion from the members of the League was impressive. It made me feel quite a bit better about starting to get into the genre and helped me realize that those snotty elitists are just venting nerd rage and I shouldn't worry about it.
Also, even though I do have (almost 0802 and 0817 notwithstanding) the entire back catalogue downloaded from iTunes, this latest debacle has piqued my interest in being able to PAY someone over there for a cd/dvd of each season per disc. Yes, even though I have almost every episode, if iTunes decided to burp again, I could lose them all.

Just started listening to Fear the Boot's new Episode today, first thing they did was explain about the HJ's Feed change. Hopfully that will bring some of the missing flock back to the Douchebaggery!
