Oh my lord, I've really funded way too many things, it seems, when reviewing my list. This is somewhat embarassing. Here they are:
Wordariffic - Tabletop Word Game Party! (May 2015): My Jeff Siadek, the same as Worst Game Ever (below). Looks like a fun party game for when I'm hanging out with my family (easy for the parents to pickup, etc.)
LEGO Electric Lightup Fire Flame for creator (Jun 2015): Hoping to use it for future Lego-based RPG games.
De La Soul's NEW ALBUM (Sep 2015): A crowdsource-funded album for De La Soul... sure. Back in 1989 they were the very first brand-new album I ever bought with my own money.
RiffTrax Live 2015: THE ROOM, MIAMI CONNECTION, SHARKNADO 2! (Dec 2015): I go to each RiffTrax live I can, via Fathom events. It's awesome to go into a movie theatre with 100's of similar-minded fans. You don't need to have funded this to do so, e.g.: www.fathomevents.com/event/rifftrax-live-sharknado-2-the-second-one.
CHAINMAIL BIKINI: The Anthology of Women Gamers (Sep 2015): Looked good.
RPG Pencil Dice (Apr 2015): Pencils with d6 randomizer on their sides. Could be fun to bring to cons.
Short Order Heroes Theme Packs (Sep 2015): Didn't fund the original short order heroes, but did buy the deck at the local con. Love the artist, and got to play in a kids RPG based on this once, with my daughter. Want this for future use, and already found it useful in my current games.
Conan (Oct 2015): Board game. Also comes with lots of Conan world-themed miniatures!
What We Do In The Shadows: The American Release (Jun 2015): Loved the movie. No regrets here. Go watch this.
Arcana Playing Cards (Jul 2015): Some cool standard card deck based on Tarot cards. Art looks really cool too.
Silent Legions: A Sandbox Horror RPG (Apr 2015): Looked interesting. Haven't touched this.
Protocol Game Series Two (15 More Games) (Jul 2015): Wanted to support Jim Pinto. Love his stuff, and his game systems can be really interesting.
Paranoia RPG (Jun 2015): I mean, come on.
A Hunger Games Inspired Concept Album: Careers (Jul 2015): Love their first album (The Chamber Band: Deities), so helped fund the second.
Atlas Kings Tabletop RPG (Dec 2014): Kid friendly RPG. Plan to try and use this in the near-term with my daughter.
Worldspinner: Fantasy RPG Worldbuilder & Map Maker (Jan 2015): Interesting concept, but not sure if I'll ever use it now.
The Last Parsec - Savage Worlds (Nov 2014): Looks interesting. I was on the fence about it, since I already found the Savage Worlds conversion for Star Frontiers, but I think I may end up using this setting as part of a space-based game I want to run, so no regrets here.
The Sprawl: Cyberpunk Roleplaying, Powered by the Apocalypse (Feb 2015): Have to admit, haven't looked at it yet. Liked the idea though. Also know that Hamish plays/runs at Strategicon, so maybe one day will get into a game.
The #&%! Party Social Card Game (Dec 2019): Fuck Jim Pinto. Just a way to give him $1.
Vye: The Card Game (Jun 2015): Just got this very beautiful game in the mail. I've already played it a dozen time with over half a dozen people. I like the simplicity of the mechanics, and it looks like it can last longer than many simple-mechanic games. Even my more hard-core gamer friends were intrigued by the game we played. They worry it will have limited appeal (like the game Hive), however I definitely think it can last much longer than that.
Orc Hospital (Oct 2014): I have to admit I thought this would be a stand-alone game, not just cards for one of Jim Pinto's existing games, so I was a little disappointed there... but I'll play it one day.
Designers & Dragons (Dec 2014): Coffee table book. I've almost finished the first of the 4 books. A little dry, but mostly interesting, and detailed.
MiniZip - Compact Power for your Lego® Creations (Nov 2014): For future Lego creations.
World Wide Wrestling RPG: Pro Wrestling Action, Drama & Fun! (Apr 2015): Not sure if this was a mistake. I mean, it looks cool, and I have a deck of old WWF cards just ready for this game, but I just have so many things on the to-do list, just not sure when I'll get around to this. I did think it'd be fun to run a "serious" game (like a murder mystery, or horror game, or something, but in this system).
HARBOUR - Master markets in a fantasy port (Mar 2015): Got it, looks nice, not sure when I'll get around to playing. Have to read rules... blah.
Toolcards 2: It's Time to be a Gamemaster Again (Dec 2014): These look really good to get the juices flowing when playing or creating an RPG or scenario. Mostly I've just perused them, but haven't gotten around to using them.
Foam Brain Metal Pins - RPG Classes, Meeples and More! (Oct 2014): A rainbow Cthulhu pin, what's not to love. Also got some d20 earings for my daughter, which she's been wearing for the last 3 months, so total win here.
Bring Reading Rainbow Back for Every Child, Everywhere! (Dec 2014): Had to support this. They've sent the codes to access their content, but I haven't looked yet. Then again, the kid just got on summer break yesterday, so maybe it's time!
BioLite BaseCamp Stove | Turn Fire into Electricity (Oct 2014): A little BBQ grill that converts some of the heat into a USB charger for your devices. I like to think of this as an investment into the emergency preparedness / for the nuclear fallour shelter.
Servants of the Cinder Queen (Sep 2014): Haven't run it yet, but I really love the overall look, feel, design, conciseness of this module. It's inspired how I'd like to create a game module.
Urban Shadows RPG (Oct 2014): Shit, I don't know why I keep funding these things... maybe cause they let you get them for cheap as PDFs, and I just don't know how to say 'no'.
Worst Game Ever (Dec 2014): Love this. A "party game" for gamers. The cards are all about the meta-gaming that gamers do. Played this with a number of folks, and everyone who is a gamer will appreciate it. My non-gamer friends? Not as much.
The Queen's Cavaliers RPG (Jan 2015): Finally got to play in a game run by Coihme (creator) at the last Strategicon here. I definitely DO NOT regret backing this. Very interesting system. I'd love to run some friends through a scenario or two. I like mechanics a lot.
Concept Cards- RPG Plot, Characters and Location inspiration (Sep 2014): Another RPG idea helper deck. I sort of regret this one, just cause I don't think I'd need it per se, but whatever.
Custom Game Dice - You Design (Oct 2014): It's been lagging due to health issues of the main dude, but it looks like they are slowly getting on track. I thought this'd be fun to create some custom dice (like one with the family member names on it, or one with my gamer group on there, or maybe some with designs others have submitted - like it'd be cool to have a die that goes from 2-6 and then have 7 pips instead of a 1 face).
Combat Description Cards for Storytellers and GMs (Oct 2014): Regret, not because it's bad, but I don't know why I need it. Just was on a spending spree.
Trillium Rush - PDF Board Games (Apr 2014): $1 print yourself board game, what's to lose?
Catacombs (Nov 2014): Looks fun for kids; a board game where you can flick thick tokens. Delayed and still awaiting delivery.
Letterforms Dry Erase Notebook (Apr 2014): Very nice quality. Have used this quite a bit, but wish he shipped it with the original promised extra pens (he ended up short on money and shorted us backers).
Scoville - The HOTTEST farming euro game ever! (Nov 2014): Just received it recently, haven't played yet.
Ultimate Werewolf Deluxe Edition (Jun 2014): Was in a werewolf phase, but in the end I regret this cause I don't think I'll use it anytime soon, and I'm not that big into werewolf.
Meeple Playing Cards (Jun 2014): Cute cards, somewhat simple.
Villages: a Construct and Conquer Card Game (Apr 2014): Cute game look that reminded me of Boss Monster, but after getting it and playing it, I'm not really that into it. The quality of cards is on the low side compared to many games (although it was also cheaper than some similar games).
Chaosmos: As the Universe Ends, the Hunt Begins! (Oct 2014): Board game, just arrived. Haven't played yet... looks kinda of like a Diplomacy-style space game, with intrigue and such. Haven't played yet, but the creators are in the vicinity and always have a presence at Strategicon. At Gamex 2015 I got to sit down for 10 minutes to get a quick run-through on some of the mechanics, but haven't played yet.
An Illustrated Bestiary of Fantastic Creatures (May 2014): Funded this to support the artist. Not sure otherwise if it'll be that useful to me.
Burgoo - A PAY-WHAT-YOU-WANT game of community stews (Jun 2014): Shit, still haven't played this. Simple game mechanics and looked intriguing. To be honest I was disappointed that it came with cardboard cut-out of the pieces, I thought it'd be little wooden squares, which would work better IMO.
Dice Crawl (Feb 2014): A dungeon crawl game with lots of dice. A Jim Pinto collaboration. I played a few times with him at Strategicon. Thought it'd be fun with kids, and I did play a few times with my daughter. Will re-introduce it at some point and see if she gets more into it.
Doublesix Dice: Roll Better (Aug 2014): Created a 12-sided die with 2x 6-sided pips. Very delayed and not-yet-delivered project. One of the ones I've been very much looking forward to. Fortunately it's delayed due to the guys very exacting standards, and not due to mis-management. Can't wait for this one.
Coin Age - A PAY-WHAT-YOU-WANT area control microgame (Apr 2014): Again cute little game (size of a credit-card; play with coins), but never got around to playing more than once or twice... appreciate the simple mechanics though!
Foam Brain Metal D20 Pins (Jan 2014): As it reads. Good quality. They later did the RPG class pins (which I wasn't into, except for the cute Cthulhu one), and the d20 earings for my daughter.
Camp Grizzly: Lights out, campers... (Apr 2014): Kind of campy looking 70's horror at a camp board game. Received it recently, haven't played yet.
Protocol Game Series: 15 Thematic Story/Roleplaying Games (Apr 2014): Jim Pinto games. Haven't played these yet, but loved his GMZero line.
Shadows of Brimstone (Aug 2014): Just received these board games in the last week. Haven't played yet, but read good things about them. Sounds kinda of like playing Descent, but western horror themed. Comes with miniatures, so I figured even if the board games get stale I can use the horror and western miniatures at some point.
Pro Tabletop Gaming Audio Collection (Jun 2014): Wes Otis' platemailgames tracks. No regrets here... great quality tracks, and I love using audio in my RPGs.
Templar Intrigue - A Werewolf type game by @tastyminstrel (Apr 2014): Regret only in that I don't play this.
Dungeon Roll - Winter Promo Pack (Feb 2014): At the time we were playing lots of this with my daughter. Since I've got this though we don't really use it.
RimWorld (Jan 2014): Looked cool, but I don't play video games, so haven't touched this. Hopefully someone is having fun from my supporting the project though.
Werewolf (Oct 2013): by Corey Fields, simple Werewolf deck (play it often with the inlaws). I really liked the simple designs.
NEW Cthulhu Bicycle® Playing Card Decks (Mar 2014): Not as cool as the original Cthulhu deck below, but I got a deck anyways.
Reaper Miniatures Bones II: The Return Of Mr Bones! (Nov 2014): Took forever to get them, but such great quality and quantity. Haven't gotten to paint much yet, but opened the box when the gaming group was over and everyone was ooh-ing and ah-ing over the minis. We used it so everyone could choose a new mini, and had a mini-painting party for them. FUN.
RPG Music Moods (Oct 2013): Not that impressive (I think Wes Otis' stuff is much better), but I have used 2 of the 5 tracks in games.
The Back Door Bakery & Cafe Redux (Dec 2013): Local coffee shop support. Too bad they eventually had a fire and burned down a year ago, but they'll be open again in the coming months.
Dogs Playing D&D - Full Color Poster (Jul 2013): Have this hanging up in the garage where we do gaming. Only issue is that although you could choose D&D 1E as the theme (books that the dog is referring to), you couldn't change the Red Bull to a Jolt Cola. But other than that, love it.
GameHaus Board Game Cafe (Oct 2013): Kickstarter not to start the cafe (they already had their money and funding) but to improve it with a better coffee machine, cafe food, and to get swag. I love GameHaus and it's roughly in my neighborhood, so support them as much as I can. Great spot for board gaming.
The Name of the Wind Playing Cards (Dec 2013): More cards. This was one of my favorite fantasy series in a while, so had to fund the cards, especially since they had Rothfuss (the author) on board and supporting. These are the same guys who did the Cthulhu deck below, so knew the quality would be high.
Machine of Death: The Game of Creative Assassination (Aug 2013): Kind of a Fiasco-style party game. Looked intersting, but still haven't gotten around to playing it.
Dungeon Roll - A Dicey Dungeon Delve (Aug 2013): Seen this at my local Barnes and Noble so I think they did pretty good. Loved that the dice have special symbols, and are color coordinated with the monsters appropriately to make game play easier. Played this with my daughter a bunch when we first got it, so it was worth the investment.
Dragon Whisperer (Nov 2013): Card-based "board" game. Tried figuring it out once but didn't get that into it. Can't recommend yet one way or the other. Components nice though.
Dicecards: The World's Geekiest Dice Bag in a Deck of Cards (Mar 2013): A card deck that can also serve as a dice randomizer. I like what the guys did and how he approached it, but do have a few gripes. Although it was cool that each card looks like a photo of dice, and has MANY different randomizers (including hit location, werewolf characters, etc.) I think it would've been nicer if the objects were located in roughly the same spot... I often have to look for the corresponding die type, and because not all of them are on all cards (to ensure proper statistic results) sometimes you are looking for what's not there. I.e. I haven't really used this much, but I can see how it can serve a purpose. Also he put out an app version, so at least have it on my iPhone as a backup in case I don't have the deck.
The White Rabbit Playing Cards (Jun 2013): Yep, more deck of cards. Again, haven't really used these, but pretty.
Bicycle® Apocalyptica Playing Cards Deck- The World Ends (Feb 2013): Looks like I started kickstarter with a deck-of-cards phase. Haven't really used these much, but they are pretty.
Bicycle® Amazing Adventurers - Steampunk Playing Cards Deck (Apr 2013): Pretty nice deck. A little cartoon-y, but it's steampunk, so works with the pulpy theme.
Cthulhu Playing Cards (Dec 2012): Was very happy with this one (as most people who've funded or seen these); super recommended.
Hirelings: The Ascent (Feb 2013): Originally I was excited about this since it's a sort of reverse-dungeon crawl, and for kids, but it's a pretty poor game. Gets old very fast, and is effectively a slightly better version of Candy Land, which is not saying much at all.
