Keep up the good work, and I would love to play test for you. I used to work for Skirmisher Games doing the same thing in the days of the OLG and still have a good relationship with them today. I can give you honest feedback as I play with many different people with different play styles.

We finished the first playtest, and I had to make revisions to the char gen system while we were making characters, as some of the players were trying to stress the system. There are definitely some revisions that need to be made to the combat system. may throw out something that I thought was cool, but seems to slow combat. Was that something MEGA DAMAGE? 'Cuz what the world needs now is another RIFTS clone.

o.O No. No mega damage.
The combat system (there was only one combat in the session -- and we had it at the end, so we could playtest the combat system) has everyone roll initiative first, then everyone decides what their character is going to do for the turn. You can also sacrifice your turn to take a defensive reaction as well.
It seemed to take a little longer than I wanted. It was the only combat we ran, so we were unfamiliar with the rules.
I did kill Dave's character though (which also caused a revision in the hit points calculation).
I've made the necessary changes (and a couple additions to the playtest adventure).
I'm going to flesh out the combat section a little so it's clearer.
I'm also going to make a combat cheat sheet, so everything's right in front of the players.
If all goes well, I'll release it into the playtest wild this weekend.
