“We can certainly risk a few Legionnaires for France. After all, they are mostly foreigners.” -March or DieThose that make jokes about the French’s inability to fight forget the elite, battle-hardened French Foreign Legion. This collection of Germans, Eastern Europeans, Latin Americans … aaaaand that doesn’t help. Never mind. In this installment of warriors, we look at the French Foreign Legion, a gang of murders, rapists and thieves, until Interpol stepped in with background checks. Now, it’s home to alimony-escaping ex-spouses, the unemployed, and probably still thieves (at least Interpol left us with that one).

I think the Crusade-setting is a really weird case. For the nobles, it was a glorified landgrab, for the footsoldiers it was a religious thing and became a family tradition, similarly for the holy orders, and then there's the mass of people who go to the crusader states between the big crusade movements and just serve for a few years before returning home...
To me the latter fits the French Foreign Legion model best, but the character motivation is different.

I don't know. I can see the former fitting just as well. But I'm thinking more of the second and third sons, who were encouraged to pursue the Crusades to get land, because they weren't going to inherit any in (France). I think that fits the idea of the second chance.
We haven't done a crusaders warriors. I wonder if that has some potential. Or children crusaders.
We haven't done a lot with conscripts, though.

Crusaders has lots of potential! At least in my opinion. A lot of aspects, like the religious drive and the colonial-style landgrab (the Baltic stands out), are much more prominent compared to other warrior episodes you've done.

We've talked about doing Templars before. I can't remember, but I think it got knocked back because of Bankers and Knights & Samurai. Too much overlap.
Expanding beyond a knightly order does give us more to work with.
