I finally got around to reading the latest MoT.
It is vastly different from what I remember being in the original DTC document. I don't mean that in a bad way. It seems like it will be easy to play/run.
But I do feel like there were some really neat ideas in DTC that didn't make the cut.
I'll have to see if I still have the DTC document to be more specific but the first one that comes to mind in the I dug the combat where everyone wrote down what their action would be, but could default to a basic defense.

Yeah it definitely got simplified. Which for my interests in a Lovecraft style horror game is fine..not interested in too many mechanics just the nail biting and then of the course the screaming.
Here's the raw youtube vid before I get around to editing...someday...of episode 1. (wherein about 4 or 5 digital dice were rolled in two hours, so not much of a playtest so far.)
What I also see is the still very "deadly" aspect of the system. No PCs dead yet...but I have a feeling it won't be long.
