After completing session 6 of my New Dark Age game wherein I had two new players met via Jackercon IV. I had a bit of an epiphany.
I'm interested in the idea if "guest players" that hop in for a session or two and push the story in new and unexpected directions. By having those two new characters play in one session I've been given dozens if new potential plot threads.
So what I'm saying is I'd like to open this up to the entire community. Here we all are drawn like moths to Stu Venable's gassy, pontificating flame. Let's all play his game! How's about I set the mad, MAD I TELL YOU! Goal of seeking to have every single active member of the community at best get to play in 1-2 sessions or at the very least create a Moment of Truth character for the game. Even if horror isn't necessarily your cup of tea...historical games might be.
So think about a world on the verge of World War I...
Yay! If you look at the characters thus far created there's a pretty wide range. The 1914 story line is much more developed so creating a character there first is probably a good idea. The latest MoT version is up in that other thread. IF! You decide to create a character use the fillable PDF and PM it to me. I honestly want there to be an active Play by Post component of this game that will than be enmeshed in the online hangout game. If your curious about what has happened thus far just check out the adventure log...the characters you create DO NOT need to have anything to do with the current story line but it helps to have some tie in to either Monterrey, California...California or just an interesting character that can be doing interesting things that affect the story.
Example: Rusty the Tramp. A poor, homeless destitute man who actually knows more about what is going on in the shadowy parts of the city than most but no one will listen to him. Perhaps its the constant stench of rot gut on his breath.
I'd be willing to conduct the play by post stuff here on the forums. And than use Obsidian Portal to create a summary of what's happening there and the hangout games. So feel free to dive right in! The water is bloody...
There are strange things done under the midnight sun...
Gillsing: Interesting fact about a movie that put me to sleep the first two times I tried to watch it at RPG cons. The third time I managed to stay awake, and was disappointed. Everyone seemed to like it so much. But apparently it was not for me. Story of my life.
