We've talked about it and Trig is going to become an NPC and Stork is going to roll up a new character to join the rest of the current team. We have a solid out for Creel (Tyler) since he is as close to death as you can be without actually being dead. The team is going to have to do some work to keep Creel stable until they figure out how to get off of Rakata Prime and rendezvous with the Empire. Once that happens, he'll be in a Bacta tank for some time, and then - who knows!
There are a LOT of possibilities moving forward, with how the team handles the Sith Holocron being a key factor. I have in my mind what happens IF they return the Holocron to Emperor Palpatine / Darth Sidious. There will be rewards and recognition, and the possibility for Lord Arapto to become a Darth (since that's his big final pay-off). From there I could give them a sense of being more "free agents" for the Empire with a very broad mandate (The fires of a Rebellion grow. Find and extinguish them as you see fit.) because "with great power comes great responsibility." This allows the ability to interject direct communication from Sidious if needed, but also allows them to do as they wish for the most part. Up to and including hunting down and killing Kir Starfall and Trig.
GREAT point about everyone making Force Awakening rolls. If one of them showed a connection to the Force, that would definitely make for an interesting twist that Dave would need to address in some way. Also, Spar currently seems pretty adamant about destroying the Holocron, which would make for some fairly instantaneous inner-party conflict.
We are currently scheduling the next session, and as soon as possible I am going to record a character generation session with Stork so you all get some insight into how that works and can see some "behind the scenes" of the prep work (EXCITING!).

A full recording of a character generation session would be rad. It'll be nice to hear Stork make his character, meet his allies and then get kicked out of every career. It would be awesome if there was a document with all his rolls on it and instructions as to how to follow along in the career path. This roll was for this and resulted in that. So that anyone with questions on how character generation work could just use Stork's character as a follow along.
I'm sad to hear that the party isn't going to be Trig's scummy and motley crew, but I'm very happy to hear that everyone is going forward with the characters they and we have grown attached to, sans Trig.
Really pumped to hear the resolution of certain conflicts and to see who ends up also force awoken.

Having Trig further his shenanigans and somehow piss the Empire off severely and blame the PCs. Have them revel in imperial power for a bit and then have it all come crashing down. Become caught between wanted by the empire, hated by the rebellion, and hunted by Bobba Fett. Trig gets to become the Star Wars Joker.

At the 4th of July Part I had Stu and Elpeth roll for Force Potential, and they both elected to have their results be kept secret. So... do you all want to know if anyone succeeded or do you want it to be a secret from YOU all as well?
On a side note, Stork didn't want to roll for Trig and said I should do whatever I want. While it would be super tempting to give him Force powers, I think it would be better if he didn't have them.

I'm curious to know, as one of the things I love most about the AP's is seeing how the game is crafted from behind the scenes. I'm assuming either way you're going to work their exposure to the force in somehow; through dreams or what not.

I just want to reiterate that I support Stu's version of the plot as explained on the last podcast. I love the idea of the double cross down the road and that this was a set up.
Partially because I just want that moment when the entire party is being hunted and the only person who will lend a hand is Kir Starfall in a enemy of my enemy kind of way. Or Trig. And everyone has to choose between vengeance and vendettas or taking help from the only source it's coming from.

HAH! I can just see the party screwed and running for their lives, and Trig swoops in on his ship, opens the hatch and says "Come with me if you want to live!"

Ok - SPOILERS AHEAD - so if you want to be surprised as events unfold, you should skip this post:
Here's how Force Potential works:
To determine if a character has Force potential during the character creation process or within a campaign:
Roll 2d6 and apply the appropriate DMs, including your character's species, background, campaign type, and so on.
If the result is 11+, the character has Force Potential and should check for Force Strength as currently described.
If a player has previously checked for force potential and failed, but is directed to check for Force Potential again due to extant circumstances (such as in a career tables or as a part of campaign play) they may check ONLY ONE MORE TIME, but the result must be a 12+ to awaken their Force Potential.
If that roll is failed, that's it.
Stu rolled a 3. Elspeth rolled an 11.
I am going to basically start Orella with Force Sensitivity and very mild Telepathy. She will have no control over it, but is going to sense strong emotional states during her sleep. These dreams are her unconsciously tapping into the people she has been in close contact with. Spar Stangle will give her paranoia. Lord Arapto a hunger for power. Corran Creel is driven by revenge. She can do with this as she sees fit, but if she mentions it to the other players, they might figure it out. IF she decides to seek help / confide in the Sith, I will have her roll for Force Strength to see if there is more than Force Sensitivity.
As for what is and isn't real in terms of the Empire looking to double cross them, I think Stu is going to be really driving this discussion amongst the players and I am ready to let them build up whatever scenario they want and grab the best parts of it. My mindset has been that the mission was real, but that Darth Sideous had no idea why Darth Ynon was going to Rakata. Arapto might choose to try and keep the power of the Holocron to himself (he will need some time with it to unlock its secrets - Ynon had spent months with it and was more powerful that Arapto) there could be some very interesting decisions that put him (and probably the party) on the other side of the Empire. They may also elect to bring it back and hand it over. If so, I have rewards for them all planned, and then they will be unassigned allies of the Empire, presented with many options but no directive. I want them to have player agency moving forward to determine their own path.
I LOVE the idea of either Kir or Trig (or both?) coming in to save their bacon at some point, although I worry that this might take away a moment of "We finally got you!" if it's Kir.

I'm mixing down the session from Sunday and wow, a lot of stuff happened. So much so that I had to send a recap email to the players so there can be some email-chain discussions as to what happens next. Can't wait for you all to hear it and get your reactions to where things might go!

What would be really useful is seeing a breakdown of how stork built his character, paths taken, etc. I am thinking of doing some episodic games in fantasy flights edge of the empire but using traveller to generate the the characters with the players. However I am struggling to understand how the core mongoose rules work with your updated tables.
