Has anyone seen any versions of Microlite20 with some of the awesome 5E changes added to it? (Like Advantage / Disadvantage)

It is my understanding that to-date, 5E is NOT under the OGL. Some people at WotC have stated there would be some sort of OGL, but I doubt it will be as open as previous licenses.

Neither was OD&D or AD&D, but we have Swords & Wizardry and OSRIC. With existing open game content and the concept that game mechanics in and off themselves are not copyright-able, it would be easy to integrate 5E mechanics. You'd just have to reword them and refer to them differently. Dominance and Impotence, for instance, instead of Advantage and Disadvantage. Of course, would you really want your character to have Impotence in the middle of combat? LOL.

I think the OGL is very tricky subject for WoTC - on one hand the original OGL certainly achieved one of it's stated aims of putting the fire back into a stagnating industry BUT it also cost WoTC loss of exclusivity. The other problem was that for every OGL gem published there were 10 tons of goat shit. I understand why WoTC want to delay any form of OGL until they 'get it right' - given that being patient let them finally get DnD 'right'. I imagine that if they do release an OGL it will probably be limited to the free online basic rules only . . . Aaron
