Hi
I have no idea if this is the right place, but I was thinking of cannibalizing the Dead Presidents games by Tyler. Anyone remember the main plot of some of those games summarized on the show? What are the dead dudes out there fighting?

Usually other equally enhanced Dead Dudes from other Countries . . . (Pol Pot would be a good one: 'Holiday in Cambodia') Aaron

It would be pretty rad if some of the guys with on going con series released them as modules (dead presidents, freak show, etc)
Didn't the first dead presidents game involve the Kardashians?

It would be pretty rad, indeed!
Thanks for the reminders. Pol Pot and Kardashians do sound familiar.
I am really bad at supers (have never done it before) so the tropes are not familiar to me. Also, doing something with a touch of humour is also really new to me.

A PDF (or book) with a couple of simple modules in it. Each thing really just needs to be from the perspective of the GM... in some cases maybe it'd be a one page setup, sometimes more (pre-gens? sure. tips and tricks? ok.) How lovely would that be on the shelf, with a big ol' Happy Jacks RPG cover? Doesn't even have to be that much work! I mean, you did put out a t-shirt... how much harder could this be? (says the guy who would do nothing to help.)

For my own game I've started on a few random tables. A villain, from pop culture, a place, something bad that someone want to do, and a list of bad things that can happen. Will see how it works out.

I think that it could actually work at least for PHREQUE Show, as I know that stork and I still have our prep stuff stashed away. I guess in my copious spare time I could start to put it all together and see how much there actually is.

And essentially the dead presidents just fought against any enemy of America, be that T-Rex Kim Jong Il or the Kardashians etc.

Thanks cadave for the feedback on Dead Presidents, and the encouraging(?) words on the possibility of collecting the material you and stork have done!

I have all my prep and con materials meticulously stored both digitally and physically. I'd have to do some work so others could decipher some of it, and some of the GRIMM elements aren't easy to share (the actual gingerbread house that the players destroyed and ate, for example(...

As I am in the process of writing up the original, Sleepers, game for an upcoming issue of Prisms I'm finding that it's much harder to write a game for publication than it is to prep that same game to run myself. JiB This. A few years back I created a 3-part Pathfinder adventure that I wrote and prepped as a convention tournament (which I blatantly patterned after the infamous Gen Con NASCRAG tourney). I essentially built it as a ready-for-publication adventure, including some awesome PC portraits by jazzisblues himself, but that project turned out to be WAY harder than I expected. It was a valuable lesson in game prep, and taught me to scale back my ambitions.

Time for some thread necromancy!
Sbloyd mentioned the forums, and I realized it had been awhile since I'd read them, and damn, a year out of date!
Dead Presidents 1 was run in Wild Talents and had the team fighting against Kim Jong Il to recover the robot body of Abraham Lincoln (whose only super power was an indestructible brain) that had been stolen as a replacement body for Hitler. (Fun fact that the players never learned, Hitler was a poorly made Lincoln clone.)
Dead Presidents 2 was when I switch to Savage Worlds, it saw Harvey Levin engineering sending the Kardashians back in time to prevent the US from becoming a democratic republic, and installing the Kardashian family as the monarchs of America. It involved lots of silly time travel tropes, and Kim hitting Andrew Jackson in the face with her ass several times.
Dead Presidents 3 Saw the Presidents faced with a choice, balance the federal budget, or find the Lost City of El Dorado to increase the american gold surplus to a ridiculous level. Clearly, they chose the latter. They traveled to Arizona, found a tunnel that led them underground to the city of gold, where they had to fight El Presidentes Muerte for ownership of the gold. (The entrance to the city was in the US, but the city itself was in Mexico.
Dead Presidents 4 was inspired by "Everyone is John". The presidents were all kidnapped and had their consciousnesses (and super powers) placed into a host body that the Pope (Benedict) was intending to then place his own mind into to live forever, and have sweet-ass superpowers. He didn't account for the Presidents indomitable wills, which allowed them to hijack the body and share control of it to defeat him.
Dead Presidents 5 - The session that killed the game. This session involved taking the fight to North Korea to stop Kim Jong Un from doing something, I can't even remember what. The Presidents had to fight Dennis Rodman, and then Kim Jong Un turned out to be twins or something. This wasn't the last game I ran at a con, as I had one more the next day, but this game ended with me knowing I was done.

Don't you think Clinton v Trump would sound the claxon to call the Dead Prez's back into service. I mean Clinton/Trump they are the same person aren't they? Or at the very least they're entangled on a quantum level which is sort of the opposite of a democracy: vote Clinton you still get Trump and vice versa Aaron

I think another Time Travel Dead Presidents would be cool - the team gets sent back from the Trumptopia to stop Trump from being elected.
