The page size thing would be perfect!
I've been wanting to integrate a trip to Sin Silly into a session.

Question to those who listen to this AP.
I'm trying to get the players to take the initiative, but they don't want to do it.
I *think* it's because they don't enough about what's going on and they don't want to screw up.
I'm going to try a few things in the next session to sort of give them a nudge, but I'm not sure it'll work.
Anyone have theories why they're so passive?

I think they may be worried about overstepping their bounds. While they (well, Adrienne (or however she spells it)) are in charge of the island, the events that are happening are much bigger than the island and they're worried about inappropriate action that could interfere with the Prince, or get them in trouble for acting without permission.
Maybe.

Have the Camarilla cut relations with them - either with the Glittering Night as a whole, or with the Mote in specific. Push a treaty on them, make them independent, and let them deal with trying to run the island.

Yeah, one potential issue with something like the Camarilla is that it can intimidate players (not just characters) into playing a more passive or servile role. It may be great for metaplot but it becomes a lot of dead weight (no pun intended) for the players to manage every time they have to make a decision. I believe you've mentioned a comparison to L5R before Stuche, and that is indeed quite apt. The Bushido code and the rules and intimidating presence of the Camarilla can both hinder player freedom and creativity, especially among players who aren't as familiar with the setting, like most of your players.

You could also have Prince Daniel officially give them free reign to take care of this issue, even in areas off the island.

I've been listening, and I don't know what is really going on. I don't do intrigue games well, so I'm not surprised to be clueless, but you may need to get them some more information. For example, they know what the guy that has been shooting rockets at them looks like, but have no idea who he is or who he works for or why.

So has Mote of Sin ended and I missed it?

So has Mote of Sin ended and I missed it? Nope. But there seemed to be a push in Eldemy and then EotE as well as a couple quick sessions of SWMgT that happened. With only 1 AP released per week, it's in line. in another thread, Stu mentioned that MotE 10 is due out in late March, but I'm not sure if there's another one sooner.

Well I saw the twitter post of them doing the recording for the AP for Mote so hopefully sooner rather than later.

Mote09 goes up on March 9.
Mote10, which we just played last weekend, has yet to be scheduled.

I think you have managed to make the players more active, stu. Well done. Now it's really quite tense when they know they are in charge and things are escalating into being worse and worse.

REPOST from the Ep19 thread so the players don't accidentally read this potentially crucial info. I don't know how to fix the Quote properly so this is the best I can do.
Yeah, I really hope Stu takes this kind of stuff into account cuz right now these Jacksons and Jackdaughters are blood bonding people left and right to solve all their problems, but they don't seem to realize that making someone obsessively addicted to you can backfire in some major ways. Also, given the way Stu has been roleplaying these blood bound NPCs so far I wonder if he's even aware of this feature of the blood bond.
hhmm, how do you tag someone in these posts? I'd like to make sure Stu sees these posts because as the game is going now, if he decides to have some of those NPCs go full psycho-obsessed-addict, this game could get reeaaal interesting.

I hadn't thought about jealousy between the ghouls, but it makes perfect sense.
Maybe the coroner can start stalking Reilly and see her other ghouls.
The priest could start trying to save Adrienne's soul.
One of my long-term things was to take down one of their buildings, but I haven't had a good culprit yet. A jealous ghoul trying to take out the competition...
