I'm trying to do something where I don't need to secure a license, but now I've got a new show to watch, so THANK YOU!

Would Killjoys need a reskin though? Your characters have a ship and are bounty hunters. The difference is just the fluff right? Or am I missing something?

I would love to see post-apocalyptic and western. Those seem like gritty hardcore genres that deserve a Traveller's touch.

I don't know if they have specific weapons or armor you'd need to bring over, but if it would just be the fluff you can go ahead and do that as the GM without a whole book to help.

The biggest thing would be a career path for Killjoys. You could probably adapt bounty hunters. Get rid of alien races. Confine yourself to a small cluster of Jump-1 worlds. Put a Mega-Corp in charge of everything.
You're right, wouldn't NEED a book. But one would be nice to have.

I was recently looking for the right system to run Cthulhu. I think traveller might do nicely. It's skill focused, deadly and you would be invested in your character before the game starts.

How is this coming along?
I was daydreaming of writing a game using the Mongoose Traveller system, but set in a modern day setting focusing on espionage.
It appears Mongoose has made this more difficult than it was with 1st edition (with its SRD and all that). How are you able to do this with 2nd edition?
