Hlo,
So I bought jackercon.com which would be great if I had any clue how to internet things. Are you a website-making guru? Are you a monkey with some skills? I don't care! Tell me what to do to give you the website and it's ALLLLLLLL YOURS.

I can do websites, but can you talk more about what it is you need it to do? Or what purpose it will serve functionality-wise (that the forums can't).

Uh... it needs to replace the G+ community that we use to actually schedule the games for jackercon. Because G+ sucks.

So people need to create events that other people can sign up for? That kind of thing? And discussion threads, etc... I'll need to think about it. There's probably some turn-key PHP thing out there that can do that.
I strongly recommend using Roll20 for the con itself, if you haven't settled on a hangouts alternative yet

Or... now that I think of it, we could theoretically use Roll20 to organize and schedule the games too. It would just be a simple matter of creating games with a common header to be easily found in search. Then they could be listed, organized, and promoted here in the forums. And the Jackercon URL could direct to a landing page that explains everything.
I've been PR/Marketing long enough that I've become stodgy with bells and whistles. It's always best to just put up signs where everyone already hangs out then to make a new place to hangout.

UPDATE: I slept on this and really believe this would be a good way to go.
Here's how it could work: Set up a "catch-all" Jackercon information post here (redirect Jackercon.com there). The post will include how to make a game, how to sign up, how awesome it'll be, all that.
To create a game for Jackercon, you would then go to Roll20 and make a game, then use the invite-only link and post it in the thread. The GM who creates the game can see who signs up and then when full can post that he or she is full in the thread. The owner of the post keeps the thread up to date with games, whether they are open and closed, etc.
There is also a dedicated Discord server linked in the master post in case further coordination is necessary.
The alternative would be to create a beastly site--probably some sort of heavily-coded social network platform, or modded out forum or CMS. While I technically have the skills to do that, I don't have the time. There maybe someone else who does. In any event, I think that it would be overkill. Since this is where Happy Jackers hang out anyway, all we need to do is coordinate here and bridge it over to where we'll play (Roll20).
My two copper.
