Jackercon XII March 11-18 "EVERYBODY GETS TO BE A NINJA!" Drizztmas 2017. Countdown...We currently have 100+ days to set up something that works a bit better than good ol' dying (but not dead) G+ classic. I will begin with looking at Roll20 community but I think its hard to use that as a CENTRAL location for the event. maxinstuff might be right about twice a year but it just doesn't seem like every four months should be that difficult. But yeah so far the October Jackercon's have not been successful.

I'd take Jackercon more seriously without the appellation.

"You're railroading me!!" -Stu Venable But certainly. Jackercon II was subtitled the Wrath of the Pantsless. Its a Happy Jacks community after all. Wherein I played a game with silliness abounding and another by muntjack that was one of the scariest games I've ever played. Gravitas comes when you least expect it. I tried to encourage a "Stranger Things" "Lovecraftian" theme with the last Jackercon but it just didn't get promoted enough... This is how I see it: Jackercon (springtime March) - During Drizztmas so a theme based around making fun of the min/max mentality. A hopeful reminder for Rules Pedants to not take themselves too seriously (I hope). "Dual Wield This!" Jackercon (summer June/July) - Summertime blockbusters! Epic style gaming. Avengers, Independence Day, etc...."Once More Unto the Breach!" Jackercon (fall/winter November) -Halloween time and horror, dark themed games. "In Space No One Can Hear You..." Again never should the theme get in the way of a good game just a guideline. Like the Iron GM concept.

You know, I know EXACTLY what your new avatar is, but I imagine it is interesting viewing for someone seeing that image with no context whatsoever.

Aethercon managed to use both a combination of Warhorn (found here - www.warhorn.net/) and a constant Hangouts window that is open 24/7 for people to get into. With Google + events just being straight up unreliable anymore, having the Warhorn thing there, with a DIRECT LINK to the Google + hangouts, means that it should be easy for people to both see a whole calendar and the link to the event page. I'm happy to take a break from running ALL THE GAMES BY MYSELF this year to help with troubleshooting. Also, this way I can help people broadcast their games live, because I am super surprised how many people just popped in to watch the Kimi game from the summer.

D.T. Pints I chatted with Suzanne at Roll20 about Jackercon. They'd be willing to work with us about setting up the con through them. They may even be able to handle a portal or forum or something, I'm guessing. There is no way at this point to stream through something like Twitch, but you can use a virtual cable or something along those lines to do it. I've done that before with Discord and it works. She knows about us, so I'd just drop her line and see what they can do: team@roll20.net

Here is a website that basically does what Jackercon does, except EotE and face to face games only. It's a good example of what could be done with the Jackercon domain www.legendsofthegalaxy.comAaron

I will certainly get in contact. Thanks again .
