This Jackercon needs a deadlands game where all the PC's are ninjas sent to.... I dunno. The idea needs work. Pasadena? Death Island? Railroad to Disneyland ?

D.T. Pints I chatted with Suzanne at Roll20 about Jackercon. They'd be willing to work with us about setting up the con through them. They may even be able to handle a portal or forum or something, I'm guessing. There is no way at this point to stream through something like Twitch, but you can use a virtual cable or something along those lines to do it. I've done that before with Discord and it works. She knows about us, so I'd just drop her line and see what they can do: team@roll20.net Holy shit man! That is amazing ! I forget how approachable those roll20 people are. I will certainly get in contact. Thanks again . Hopefully they can help, they should--they want people like us over there.

Will the hosts run games this Jackercon?
I was supposed to be in Stu's game last time before he cancelled, so it would be fun to get a new shot to game with one of the hosts.
Maybe I won't mail Stu my toenail clippings this time? He was probably ironic when he said that he would love some. :-(

I'm probably going to attempt to run an OSR D&D-based game (I'm currently looking at Ruins & Ronin, a Swords & Wizardry-compatible set, maybe with an add-on class or two from Labyrinth Lord) where all of the PCs are indeed members of various ninja clans working together to carry out a mission against the forces of Oda Nobunaga in 1576 Japan. Chanbara action, shinobi-mikkyo (ninja magic), ki powers, all that fun stuff.
That is, if I can get my crap together by then. Which I may not. But let's try to be optimistic.

Holy shit man! That is amazing ! I forget how approachable those roll20 people are. I will certainly get in contact. Thanks again . Hopefully they can help, they should--they want people like us over there. Ok, that's really effing cool. Hopefully you can work something out with them, D.T. Pints, and thanks mysticfedora for the hook up. I have been waffling on Jackercon since I've been involved with Happy Jacks; at first I used the "how do it... do?" excuse to not get involved, and then I fell back on the "I don't dig the whole 'themed game' idea". But now understanding the way Jackercon works, and with the earlier comment of "never should the theme get in the way of a good game", I have no more excuses. I *will* run this coming Jackercon. For a long while I've been trying to setup a "street level" low-powered supers game in the style of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. I've looked at commercial systems but couldn't find one that matched the feel I was going for in my head. Recently I've been messing around with "hacking" my own system; I started with Fudge, but I've decided to build on Swords & Wizardry and give it some old-school stylings. I'm pretty set on that, I'm really liking how it's turning out. I'm even writing up my own SHIELD-style agency (the Agency for Response and Management of Otherworldly Resources, or ARMOR for short) with AoS style "Inhumans" of my own origin (which is pretty much just a re-tooling of the Scientology mythos, heh). I'm going to run a few playtest sessions between now and then, as I get it written up, and then I'll run it at Jackercon. Mark this post, this is gonna be a "thing".

We need better ways of advertising. The website is really good but it still seems really quiet this year.

With Google Hangouts being dead how is everyone running their games this time around? Curious because I'm considering running something even though i shouldn't since I'm sick.
EDIT: Ok, so I guess its not dead? Just On Air is dead?
