I'm going to start a Mask of Nyarlathotep campaign soon and have already invited my players.
I've for several years thought that the campaign took place in the 40s, but I was shocked to learn - when I reread the book today - that it actually is set in the 20s.
I usually roll pretty high on my History skill checks regarding the 40s, but don't know anything about the 20s'. Did they have nintendo back then, or was it the atari?
Does anyone have suggestions for good resources that will help me make a good 20s game? :-)

Obviously original Lovecraft/Derleth et al. But also consider other period fiction eg Great Gatsby.
I suggest emphasising the slowness of communications, transport, check out how much difference there is between 1920 & 1940 autos. There are Sears catalogs for the period available online - well worth a look.
Search for period maps - the world is still full of empires and colonies: remember not all men are born equal, and the importance of sex, race and class to your social position.

Check out newspapers.com. They've got a pretty comprehensive archive, and I think you can get a free trial membership for, like, a week. Flipping through papers of the time might set you on the right track.

Look on YSDC for excellent stuff, like scanned period mail order catalogs and maps. Also, there's a Companion volume to the Masks campaign on its way. Go to YSDC for more info.
