Halfway through The Annihilation Score by Charlie Stross. British bureaucracy vs horrors from beyond space-time (or in this case, people who randomly and spontaneously gain superpowers).
I'm trying to come up with my own 'Pottered by the Apocalypse', so I've been reading a lot of PbtA games, including Spirit of 77, Dungeon World, Capes and others. Also reading Pottermore and the Potter Wiki for research.

About to start At the Sign Of Triumph by David Weber.
As for my To Be Read... We'd be here forever to cover that.

Clipping through the latest Expanse book right now. Just finished my first Tim Powers excursion on the advice of my lady (Last Call) and enjoyed that very much.

Clipping through the latest Expanse book right now. Just finished my first Tim Powers excursion on the advice of my lady (Last Call) and enjoyed that very much. Now you NEED to read Declare and The Drawing of the Dark, the order depends on you. If you want something relatively comfy, a bit of Sword and Sorcery and Beer, then The Drawing of the Dark. If you want spies and having your MIND BLOWN, the Declare.

I'm about half way through and thoroughly enjoying it, been a while since I've read some heavy space opera and I'll definitely be picking up the rest of the series. Also got the first of the Lost Fleet books, hoping that's good as well.

Currently reading IQ84 (big book, but quite intriguing) and just started listening to the Expanse series. I haven't gotten to 1Q84 yet, but I've read a bunch of Murakami this year: Dance Dance Dance, Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, and Kafka on the Shore. Currently reading Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki. Also by Murakami.
